Speaker 1: Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Valterra Adjustable Water Regulator. Part number A01-1117VP.Campground water pressure can be too high. Don't take a chance on it being unregulated and it harming your system. The Valterra Adjustable Regulator will let you determine for yourself how much pressure is going into your system. Most regulators operate between 40 and 50 Psi, this one will allow you to operate lower than that and all the way up to your RV's maximum pressure. And you can find that in your RV's documentation. Now you want to be sure and not exceed your RV's maximum pressure.
That can damage your entire water system. The gauge is also nice because it's going to allow you to troubleshoot your system to let you know if the problem is in your city water pressure, or if it's in your RV pressure. It has a built-in screen. Regulators that don't have a screen can allow dirt and debris to get inside, which can cause your regulator to malfunction or give you irregular flow. It's a lead-free brass construction. It's easy to install.
We'll go ahead and show you that now.First what I'm going to do, is locate our city water connection on our RV. Then we can go ahead and connect the male end of our regulator to our RV. I'm going to position my regulator up so I can read it easily. And it's a good idea not to over tighten, just get it nice and snug. That way we don't have any leaks. Then we can take our hose end and connect it.
Nice thing about our regulator here, is that the end swivels, which makes connecting easy and we won't have to worry about kinking our hose. Now we can go ahead and turn on our water faucet. Now we don't have to worry about opening it up all the way. Our factory preset on our regulator is 45. Now we can take our flat head screwdriver and adjust our brass screw at the top of the regulator here. Now Valterra recommends not going over 60 Psi.
You will want to be sure and check with your RV's owner's manual to see how much pressure it can handle. Once you get it where you want it, you're all set. You're ready to test the inside faucets. As you can see we've got good flow here on the inside. Now you can adjust your brass screw to the left or right to fine-tune your water pressure. And that's gonna complete our look at the Valterra Adjustable Water Regulator. Part number A01-1117VP.

Nice compact unit . It fits well inside the service bay with room to connect the water service hose. Being adjustable was one of my requirements for a regulator. It is also downstream from the filter, so it should not get plugged with crud. Works very well . I would recommend this unit. 603308

Pressure gauge was permanently installed inside the utility compartment of my coach, for easy viewing. I no longer have to handle it every time I set up camp, or have to be concerned that an outside install might disappear at night. The gauge is easy to read at a glance and can be adjusted to maintain a safe water pressure. 824901
The water pressure gauge worked good, we camp a lot and the water pressure at different camp grounds vary. This gauge keeps the pressure regular. 814705

For the 8 years we have owned our 1986 Holiday Rambler Imperial Limited 38 foot long Class A coach, we have used the old style small brass cylindrical in-line water pressure regulator. We have suffered from low flow capability for all of that time. If I was in the shower and the wife turned on ANY water in the kitchen or elsewhere, the shower water flow was impacted severely by either scalding or freezing me. With the installation of the new Valtera A01-1117VP high-flow water pressure regulator, those problems have gone away. The new high-flow regulator can supply enough flow that I can't detect any decrease in shower water flow when any other water is turned on inside the coach now. I knew I had a water flow restriction some where in the water supply plumbing, but until I got the new A01-1117VP regulator, I didn't realize how serious the water flow problem was with the old style brass cylindrical regulator. I have dual filters on the water inlet to my coach, the regular large blue cylindrical charcoal filter in-line with the shore water hose, and then another smaller charcoal filter inside the coach, and I thought that the 2 filters in series may be causing a water restriction and low water flow. That was not the problem for my coach. The new high-flow adjustable water regulator solved my water flow problems, and now I have plenty of water anywhere inside my coach. The washing machine now fills much faster and that has cut down on the cycle time on doing a load of wash significantly. We used to wait for minutes for the washer to fill before it would start washing, but that is not the case now. It fills quickly and starts the wash cycle much faster than it did with the old small cylindrical brass water regulator. The auto-fill of the fresh water tank only takes minutes now. The old style brass cylindrical regulator does not have the flow capability of the new Valtera A01-1117VP. The nice water pressure gauge on the high-flow regulator lets you know exactly what water pressure is being applied to the plumbing in your coach, and the pressure adjustment feature of the high-flow regulator is nice to keep from over pressurizing and rupturing the coach plumbing. I am much happier with this new high-flow regulator, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone who has a camper, trailer or RV that uses shore water from a hose supply. 668461
I believe the pressure regulator still works, but I have to report 2 negative issues. 1) The needle slipped behind the zero pressure stud, so I can no longer tell what the pressure is set to. 2) There is water inside the pressure gauge. Somehow water has leaked into the gauge. I am disappointed. 666483
