Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Flair-It PEX Lock Bypass Valve Fitting. This RV freshwater plumbing bypass valve is going to connect pipes and hoses in your RV freshwater plumbing system. Whether you're needing to repair leaky connections or install new lines, this is going to work with your PEX pipes, PERT tubing, and IAPMO approved polyvinyl pipes. As you can see here, this fitting has three half inch crimp connections with three PEX lock clamps.
And these clamps mean that you don't need any specialized tools for a secure fit. The reusable PEX lock clamps can be installed with just a pair of pliers and then removed with a screwdriver. Now, to install this, it's going to be relatively simple. You're gonna take one of the PEX clamps here and PEX lock clamps rather, and slide that over the end of your pipe. And you wanna make sure that it's sitting flush with the straight cut end of your pipe or tube.
And then you're going to insert the fitting into the end of that pipe or tube, making sure that it meets with the positive end, the positive stop rather, of the fitting. And then you will use a pair of pliers to squeeze together the two ears on the clamp until you hear a click, or until those two ears overlap and engage each other. So you're gonna do that for all three of the ends with the the PEX lock clamps. And on your screen, I'm including a photo, just to kind of give you an idea of what the installation, the completed installation, is going to look like. And we have been very impressed with other Flair-It fittings, at just how secure the connections are.
So once you have this fitting properly installed with the included PEX lock clamps, you're not gonna have to worry about it. It's going to be very secure for you. And then, like I said, this fitting can be removed. You're just simply going to use a bladed screwdriver to carefully remove the removable PEX lock clamps. And you might need to use some force to actually pull the fitting out of the pipe or the tube, just because of that secure fit that you had.
That fitting could be in that tube or that pipe pretty tight. So it might take some effort to actually pull the fitting out. So this durable fitting is reinforced to prevent any cracks from stress. It's gonna be very durable, very strong, and very long lasting for you. And that's going to conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
