Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real brief look at this FLAIR-IT PEX reducing straight coupler fitting. Now, this RV freshwater plumbing straight coupler is going to connect pipes and hoses in your RV freshwater plumbing system. Whether you're needing to repair leaky connections or install new lines, this is going to work with your PEX pipes, the old gray PB pipes and poly-vinyl tubing. The 1/2" and 3/8" barb connections with the compression ends are going to help you get a tight, secure fit without needing any tools.
So to install this, you're simply going to take the compression end here and slide it over your pipe, and my finger's gonna represent the pipe there, and then you're going to insert the barbed end into your pipe. Now, this is going to take a little bit of doing. You might have to rock it back and forth and apply quite a bit of pressure to get this fitting into place in that pipe or in that tubing, but then once you have that in, you're just going to bring this compression end back over the pipe and then start threading it onto the fitting, and that is going to tighten that down, and the connection is going to be very secure for you. We have been very impressed with how secure the connection has been on other FLAIR-IT fittings. While you can install this by hand to get it tightened down, as I mentioned, if you ever need to remove the fitting, take it out of the the pipe, that is going to take quite a bit of doing, probably gonna need something like a pair of vice grips to help you pull this fitting out.
That's how tight and secure this fitting is going to be once you insert into that pipe or tubing and then tighten it down with the compression end. So once you have this fitting installed, you're not gonna have to worry about leaking. You're not gonna have to worry about it coming loose. It's going to be very tight and very secure. The polyoxymethylene construction is very durable, and it's going to be resistant to stress cracking, and that's going to wrap up our real quick look today.
I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
