Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Greystone 28 inch electric fireplace with the curved front. This fireplace adds or replaces the fireplace in your RV. It does include a wireless remote that allows you to easily operate the unit from a distance, and manual controls are also available, and they're located right here, on the control panel, which is located at the front, top, left corner of the unit, as if you're standing in front of it, looking at it.It is CSA certified, and it plugs into a 3-prong, 15 amp outlet. It is designed to be used on 120 volt systems. Here's your 3-prong plug, really nice design. We have built-in handles on the sides of the unit, and our ventilation is located right here at the top.I want to go ahead and plug it in and turn the unit on.
I'm also going to need to turn off the overhead light, so you can see it in a lower light setting, and then we'll go over the different functions that the unit has to offer.Power button, right there, automatically turns on to the brightest level, which is 9, and then every time you hit the button with the letter F on it, it decreases, so here's level 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, and then it goes back to 9, so the fireplace features a really nice burning log design, and the flame brightness is adjustable, so each time the button is pressed, the intensity decreases.The unit also features a nice heater. Now one of the things that I really like about the unit is you can actually use the flames without the heater being on, but if you want to turn heat on, you just hit the button with the wavy lines, and then there's three setting. You have low, high, and auto. It also has a built-in thermostat, so you can adjust the temperature. The lowest setting is 65.
The highest setting is 95, so 65 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit, and then every time you hit that button you can adjust it in 5 degree increments.The unit also has a built-in timer, which starts out at 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hour, 3 hour, 4 hour, 5 hour, 6, 7, 8, and 9, and then resets. Then you have access to all those controls using the included wireless remote, so there's our brightness levels, and then we have our heater, low, high, auto, and then our thermostat, and then we also have our timer, and then on and off, which has a really nice, quick response time to it.The unit's really nice. Again, I really like the curved front glass. It gives the unit a really clean look. The heat blows from right above the glass, so from this area here.
It does include the trim kit, so it offers a nice clean finished look. The trim kit is this piece here that goes around the perimeter. You can lift that up and take it off, that's going to give you access to the pre-drilled mount holes. There's 4 pre-drilled mount holes, 2 on each side. Mounting screws are included.
Now the mount holes up and down are separated on center by 17 and 7/8 inches, and then across, they're separated on center by 29 and 3/16 inches. That trim kit just slides into place.Located on the bottom of the unit are feet. There's 4 of them. They can be removed if you don't want them on there, but they do come installed. I also took measurements of the overall dimensions, so I measured from outer edge to outer edge, an overall width of 30 and 7/8 inches wide. The overall depth, from very front of the unit, including the curved portion to the very back was about 10 1/8 to 10 and 3/16 inches deep, and the overall height from floor to top of the unit, right here at the trim, was 25 and 1/8 inches tall. Now according to the included instructions, they recommend that the installation opening measures 27 and 1/4 to 28 and 1/16 inches wide, by 25 and 1/8 inches tall by 7 and 1/4 inches deep. Now that depth measurement is taken from the flange here, to the back of the unit, including the hardware. You can see the screw heads stick out just a little bit, and then this portion back here is not 25 and 1/8 inches tall. It actually measures around 24 and 3/8 inches tall, but they recommend 25 and 1/8 inches tall, because they want you to leave enough room up here for proper ventilation to take place.That's going to do it for today's look at the Greystone 28 inch electric fireplace.

Took 2 tries but Ms Judy took care of buisness and got me an undamaged unit. Shipping was quick although the shippers was anything but delicate with my product. Par for the course in todays world i suppose. Anyways, unit works as advertised with a nice glow and easy installation. 574538
Product works great. This was our second fireplace the first one was shipped in a non manufactured box and was very damaged. it was placed in 2 tire boxes and stapled in the center and taped on the ends. 540202
This was a replacement fire place for the original one in our RV. Changing it out was simple. The first one lasted 3yrs. The replacement is going strong and works well. The remote and how you set the thermostat is a little different in that on the current model the “flames “ are always on, you don’t have the option of running just the heater. They have improved the airflow and accuracy of the thermostat on the newer models. Overall a good product. 726543

When we purchased our 5th wheel in 2015 I thought a fireplace was stupid and a waste of space. Little did I know it was an excellent source of heat that didn't use propane and could keep the entire 37' RV at the temperature we set it to. Unfortunately it wasn't under warranty and Richardson RV was going to charge me $450 for the product and $200 for installation (4 screws and a plug, literally that was it) My husband wasn't home so I surprised him and installed it myself, I just had my friend help me carry it in. We replaced the fireplace about a year ago and we love it. Especially because we don't have to use our propane. The service at etrailer was excellent. I called before placing the order to ensure it was the correct replacement and they were very helpful and verified (through research and a return call within 10 minutes) the product was the same even though the number was not the same. It arrived within a week and we saved $400 on the product and installation and took less than 10 minutes to install. etrailer was super easy, convenient, helpful/service friendly and reasonably priced. Bad 50A pedestal killed the fireplace in our Voltage 5th wheel. I took the old one out. Brought it to my shop, took the back off...and there isn't anything identifying the model, nothing. Searched online all weekend, couldn't find anything that measured the same as the original. So Monday morning I called e-trailer and spoke with Katie G. Together went went over dimensions and decided the Greystone 28" curved glass is the closest to what I had. Ordered by phone, it shipped the next day and got here Thursday. Double boxed. All I had to do was take the four little rubber feet off the bottom and it fit right in the opening. Drilled four new holes for mounting, plugged in, put the trim on. Presto...the fireplace works fine, puts out heat. And wife is thrilled to have a remote. This fireplace has lots more options than OEM. Can't say enough about the excellent customer service Katie provided and got the order placed. I'll do business with etrailer.com next time I need something for the RV. Ordered fireplace for our 5TH wheel and spoke with etrailer rep who was great, she confirmed the size we needed and ordered directly with her. Fireplace arrived and fits perfectly, noted that the trim piece that slides over outside edges was damaged mainly dents.
