2-Piece holder enables you to keep your entry or cargo compartment door open and keep both hands free for loading luggage, groceries, and other supplies into your RV. Included rubber bumper prevents your door from flying open and hitting your RV.
Features:
Specs:
This T-style door holder keeps the entry door open so you have both hands free to load luggage, groceries, and other gear into your RV or camper. You can also use this holder on an access or cargo compartment to prevent the door from crashing into your back or head while you're rummaging for supplies.
The 2-piece holder easily mounts to the door and exterior wall of your RV with self-tapping screws (not included). You should make sure that the 2 pieces are lined up before bolting them down. Once installed, the arm on one bracket will catch on the slot on the other bracket to hold the door open for you.
If you're especially worried about your RV's paint getting scratched, a rubber bumper is included to help prevent the door from opening too far and hitting your RV.

Ellen: Hi everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at The Kwikee T-style Door Holder with Bumper for RVs. This is an easy way to hold the door open so you can load in your gear, your equipment, groceries whatever the case might be. We'll have this little rod that's going to come out and then get captured by the holder on the other side. So this will be mounted onto our door and then this would be mounted onto our wall. So it just slides in that slot there, it keeps everything open so we can freely pass in and out without having that door slam shut on us.
It also comes with a bumper to make sure that if that door happens to open a little bit too wide, it's going to hit against this rubber piece rather than against your plastic piece and possibly damaging it or putting a hole in your wall or your door. And this just is going to mount over one of the founding holes so you can mount it on either side it just depends on your configuration. But this is going to be a great kit for both your entry door or maybe a compartment door really anywhere that you'd want to keep that open so you can move in and out easily. It doesn't come with any mounting hardware to get these installed so you will have picked that up on your own. I'm going to go over some measurements so you can figure out the size that you're going to.. Or if this is going to work for your situation.
The arm measures about six inches going from the center of that pivot point to the very end of the arm. Both our bases are about the same size so I'm just going to measure this one for both. This is about three inches long, the base and about one and three quarter inches wide. And then about three quarter inches thick or deep. This one is a little bit taller, it's about seven eighths of an inch tall. Our bumper is about one and seven eighths of an inch long and about one and a quarter inch tall and just about three quarters of an inch thick.
It is made of a relatively soft material or softer than the plastic, it's going to be made out of a rubber. It does have some more give to it, but it's still pretty stable. It doesn't squish too much but just helps to protect your items from getting damaged. As far as the mounting holes, center to center they're about an inch and an eighth apart going this way. And the other direction, they're about two and three eighths of an inch apart.
And then each of those is about three 16th of an inch in diameter. Our bumper is going to have that same inch and an eighth distance between its mounting holes. That's pretty much going to do it for our look at the Kwikee T-style Door Holder with Bumper.
I gave it 4 stars because it did not come with screws, but everything else looks good.
This part is a perfect hole for hole replacement for the door holders and bumpers on 1995 Holiday Rambler Alumalite trailer. I was even able to use pieces of the new door holders to repair the originals that came with our trailer.
Finding what I wanted and ordering was exceptionally easy. My product came, and it was exactly what I was looking for and needed to replace my current one that had broken.
Great product at a great price and fast shipping
