Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the JR products, universal RV door latch. This is going to be a universal door latch, so you can Mount it anywhere on your RV that you're going to need a secure, positive latch. This does come with the mounting hardware, as well as your surface strike and your solid mounting strike. You're going to get four screws to attach your latch and two screws to attach the strike of your choice.Let me give you a few measurements to make sure this is going to be what you need.
Our latch itself is going to be right about one and three quarters of an inch long. It's going to be one and three eights of an inch tall. Our latch is going to extend about one and five sixteenths, or just over one and a quarter of an inch. When we have it mounted, our loop is going to extend up right about an inch and a half.As far as our strikes, our solid strike is right about two inches long and about eleven sixteenths of an inch, or just under three quarters of an inch tall. Our surface strike is going to be right about one and a quarter inch wide, and five eights of an inch tall.
All our hardware is made of a durable, brass construction. So it's going to hold up very well for you, going to get the job done. Universal RV Bolt Door Latch, used to replace OEM item as the old one was bent. I just dont understand it was only 23 years old. The new one should last just as long.
