Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the J. R. Products screen door slider. This is that piece that goes over the handle on our RV door, and this slides into the tracks on our screen doors so that whenever we're just using the screen door, this closes up the gap so we don't have any bugs and things coming into our RV, so we don't defeat the purpose of having that screen door closed. So typically you're going to have this portion going towards the latch of the door.

It should fit into a little seam there. So it's going to close up that gap. And then this more closed portion goes towards the middle of that screen door.It comes in this sort of white translucent color. It's slightly opaque, but you can still see through it a little bit, but not fully. So as things get further back, they're a little harder to see in there.

It's just made out of a plastic material. Helps you get that worn or damaged slider replaced.No tools required for the installation. You just want to make sure that it's going to be the right size for you. It is designed to work with 12 inch wide tracks, so I'm going to put a ruler on it and we can look at that. So it is probably about 11 and seven eighths inch wide there from edge to edge.

11 and seven eighths, so just shy of 12 inches.And then length wise we're looking at maybe 12 and a 16th. So pretty close to square. The slot that comes up here, it's about an inch deep. So again that just leaves room for your latch and things for this to slide over and not cause any issues. There are other colors available, including white, black, and brown.
