Adco AquaShed Cover Installed

You're worried about your Class C motorhome getting wet and dirty in storage before your next camping trip. Whether you're storing your RV in the rainy northwest, snowy north, or humid south, this weather-resistant cover is designed for use in extremely wet climates so your RV will be protected. When you keep your RV covered, you are less likely to need to wash and wax it in between trips. And if you want to trade your RV in for a newer model later down the road, this cover will help maintain that resale value.

Adco AquaShed Material

The 3-ply SFS AquaShed top panel reduces moisture buildup that can damage your RV over time. It also beads water when it rains to stop it from pooling or freezing, which eliminate the black streaks and corrosion you tend to see on the sides and roof of your RV. And when the rain stops, the fabric dries quickly to minimize the development of mold and mildew. The top panel blocks the roof of your RV from mild sunlight as well, protecting the cover from cracking and fading.

How to Measure Your Class C Motorhome

Measuring Your Class C RV

To determine if this cover will work for you, measure the overall length of your RV from the front bumper to the rear bumper, making sure you're accounting for any spare tire carriers and ladders on the back. Then measure the overall height from the bottom of your RV to the top. Do not include any AC units, vents, or antennas in your height measurement, as the cover is already designed to accommodate them.

Securing the Cover onto Your RV

Adco AquaShed Cover Straps

The included ladder cap and rain gutter covers help prevent the cover from splitting on those areas of the RV, so install those first. Then unroll the cover and carefully spread it evenly around your RV, making sure you don't pull too hard and tear the fabric. The cover is labeled with "front" and "rear" to help you position the cover correctly on your RV.

Once the cover is in place, wrap the elasticized hem on the cover around the bottom corners of your RV and pull on the cinch ropes on the front and rear until the cover fits snugly around the contours of your rig. These remove any excess slack in the material, especially if your RV is slightly shorter in length. Then toss the weighted straps underneath your RV to the other side and buckle them together, which keep the cover secure on your RV and prevents it from flapping in the wind and damaging the paint job.

Adco AquaShed Cover Zippered Access Door

And if you still need to winterize or access one of the cargo compartments, you can use the zippered panels on the passenger's side to easily access the interior of your RV without having to completely remove the cover.

Video Transcript for Adco SFS AquaShed RV Cover Installation - 2019 Jayco Redhawk Motorhome

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we have the ADCO AquaShed RV cover for your class C motor homes. We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2019 Jayco Redhawk motor home. If you are looking for something that can protect your motor home, maybe you're ready to winterize it or you're in between camping trips, and you know it's gonna be sitting for months at a time, well that's when RV covers like this can come in handy. The SFS AquaShed is going to be an entry level RV cover though, but provides your base protection. So it does filter out mild sunlight to help prevent sun rays beating down on your motor home.

Plus it allows for water to bead upon contact. So for like snow or for a slight rain shower, this is gonna be good for creating that protection. So this is gonna have the three-ply SFS AquaShed material. So that's gonna be this lightweight material. It feels similar to what you would see on a hospital gown, touching and feeling it so it's not so much canvas as it is more of a papery feel.

Now that three-ply does mean that it's durable and sturdy though. Pulling at it, tearing at it, it's not coming apart. So that is gonna be good. Now on the other hand, it is designed with all these different holes in it and that's gonna be for breathability. So it's not waterproof.

Water can still go through it but this does prevent moisture from building up. This has seven straps that go underneath your Redhawk motor home. Now with how it fits on this motor home, I did notice that there's some billowing around where the door is. You do have these zippers here but it creates a panel that folds up and then you can secure it up top. I personally am not the biggest fan of how it fits because if I unzipped this one zipper here, in order to get access to where the door of the motor home is, I would not be able to access it unless I undid this buckle.

And then I can bring this panel over to the side and enter that motor home real quick. I'm also able to get access to the cab door, but if I wanted just a cab door then I would unzip that other zipper. So there is a little bit of a process. It's not a quick and easy access but ideally if you are parked, you shouldn't need to get into your motor home or into your cab that often anyways so it's worth those extra seconds of unbuckling straps. There is no access on the driver's side of our cover, so if you did need to get into the driver's seat to make any adjustments there, then you have to go in through the passenger side. This does really well with covering our spare ladder and there's still a little bit of space back here. So if I happen to have a tow bar in the back of the hitch, I would still be able to cover it with this cover. If I had something like a bike rack though, I'm not as confident with this extra space to fit over a platform rack or a hanging rack. So start your setup by finding your things. For the first time, you are gonna have to find your vent cover, your instructions, as well as your storage bag. It's going to be rolled up inside the RV cover. So I do recommend just laying it out beside your RV and that way you can find all of the things you need to get yourself set up. Going to find the front tag. So it's gonna be bright yellow, it's going to say front, and this is gonna be the most important part because now you can roll the rest of the RV cover over, but leave this out. You are going to have some zippers in the side. I like to undo the zippers right away. That way it's easier to uncover over the RV but that's gonna be up to you. There's also some straps especially near the front that I do recommend undoing. Holding onto the front tag, you're then going to start climbing onto your roof. Let's get started. I have a cool time-lapse to check out. Once you've finished the bulk of the setup, the next step is to get everything strapped down, tightened down, and zippered up. Underneath your cover are going to be these straps. They're all going to be along the driver's side. The straps are actually kind of short and the buckles are very light. So I tried, but you probably will not be able to just throw the buckle on its own, which is okay because that's what these weighted straps are for. You're gonna get two of these. So you buckle one strap to the other, and then you get that weight, and you toss the weight along the ground where it pops out on the other side. There are these cinch straps in the front as well as the back. And this is gonna make a tighter fit around your cab as well as around the rear of your motor home. You also have these grommets. And the instructions say not to use the grommets for ropes or cables, so I personally just use them for the excess strap so it's not whipping around, but that's also just an extra little feature you may wanna take advantage of. And like that we we're able to set up our RV cover onto our Jayco Redhawk. Now there is a little bit of billowing of the cover around our motor home so I am gonna go around and just double-check that all the straps are secure before I call it a day. If you are doing this on your motor home I do recommend doing the same thing and just double-checking that everything is good and testing for if a breeze kicks up, if everything's gonna stay in place. And if it does, then you are good to go.

This is my second Adco cover for my 2019 Entegra (Jayco) 25R class c motorhome. The first one was the more expensive all climate and wind model. I got two years out of that cover before it gave way in too many locations to be able to patch. This time around I opted for the cheaper SFS aquashed. I believe the side fabric is the same as the more expensive model, however the top of the more expensive model seems to have an additional white layer of material. Only time will tell how this cover holds up. I will definitely update this review to let others know how things go. I can say that this cover is much easier to install since it lacks the numerous corner buckles that did not seem to work anyways. Overall it seems to fit much better than the more expensive model. I was disappointed though that it did not come with tire covers like the more expensive model did. Had I known that, I would not of thrown away the tire covers that came with the more expensive model. I know there is always a lot of controversy of whether to cover your motorhome or not. Having used a cover for the past two years, I am definitely of the school of thought that using a cover is best. I have never incurred any damage to my motorhome

It has been one year since I last reviewed this RV cover. I am happy to say that it has held up extremely well this past year. I would say that I have had the cover on the RV about 11 out of the last 12 months. I have taken the cover off and put it back on about 5 or 6 times. It fits like a glove and shows no sign of age. I could not be any happier with this purchase. I strongly recommend this cover.

by:

One year later and the RV cover is still holding up great. I definitely feel it was money well spent.

by:

Unfortunately it ripped on the top right corner about two months after I received it. The rip is about four feet long.

The clips securing the straps appear to be low quality and don't always 'click into place'. How they will hold up in windy conditions, only time will tell. If this cover is used in your driveway, you will easily be able to make adjustment. I am using it at a storage facility and wonder if I will be surprised by the cover blowing away because the clips don't hold. The manufacturer sent me new clips and only half of them can actually be attached without a sewing machine, ...This product is okay, ...for peace of mind look elsewhere.

by:

Cover fits good very pleased last year. This year when I put it on three places tore. It shouldn’t have tore.
Thanks,
Mitch

Package arrived in great condition in 2 days. Very pleased. Etrailer is consistently on time with deliveries of products. They are my first source for all my trailering and rv needs.

by:

The cover came quickly, it was easy to put on, but this may be that I have a 14 year old son that can easily climb up the RV ladder. I do wish there were more patches for future use.

Super fast service, great pricing, great products.

Without a doubt the best cover I've found for my e-Pro f19 travel trailer. It fits like a custom cover and the price was extremely reasonable. Best features: Four snug-fit corners (just like bed sheets); at least seven (?) tightening straps underneath the unit which means you can safely tighten and secure against brisk winds; two flaps/straps across both the front and back of trailer, again securing against wind. And the smallest pieces are my favorite ... two weighted straps that help you toss each of the straps underneath to the other side! Brilliant! You will see a "bump" along the back end of the RV and that's where the ladder is covered. The roof covering fits well but with enough room to accommodate the ladder, a/c, bathroom vent, and antennae. I've told my camping friend about this cover and this web site. I check here first when I need anything for my RV. Thank you!

by:

After the money we spent on your trailer cover, thought it would if lasted longer than one year? Disappointed to say the least, learn from experience we guess.

by:

Real easy to put on trailer. The cover does a great job of keeping debris off the camper and looks brand new still after 1 full year.

by:

We ordered this cover awhile back and just put in on our Motorhome
for the winter. It was quite easy to put on and it looks like it good quality
and hope it does its job. We will know in the spring.

by:

Very well made easy to put on the truck. Fits great on my GMC Sierra 2500hd crew cab .

by:

I've had my trailer cover for over a year now. Put it on the trailer for the second time in November, 2022. I noticed a couple of wear spots last spring when I took it off the trailer, and again didn't do anything about it until putting it back on the trailer. I bought some waterproof tape just to cover those spots. I love the way it fits my trailer, covering even the front hitch area. Very pleased with this purchase.

by:

After one year it has not held up at all. It falls apart in your hands. There are many holes from the wind and the sun has made it dry rotted. We were able to take it on and off twice and there would be one way to put it back on for a third time without it all just falling apart. To be fair we do live in the panhandle of Florida and do get a lot of sun and rain. We even put pool noodles around the rain gutters to try and prevent it cutting through the camper cover material, but after a while that’s exactly where the rips started from.

by:

In the beginning, I was excited about the purchase. I knew the cover would keep my new trailer protected from the sun, etc. However, less than 3 months ago I noticed the material started to shed and become thinner on the roof. 2 months ago I noticed a small tear in front near the roof (no sharp edges there). Unfortunately the tear just got bigger and more disintegration of the roof. We took it off in preparing for the hurricane that came and in that process more of it just fell apart.
I am disappointed that the product only lasted a year. Now I need to figure out what to do to get a replacement. I prefer not to buy from your company knowing that the cover might only last a year.

by:

Initially I was very satisfied with the cover. After 1 year there were some tears from the material flapping against the trailer body on the bottom edges. The 2 year anniversary just passed earlier this month (Oct 2023). This past weekend (Oct 22 2023) we had some mild winds, 15 - 20 mph. I noticed a tear had opened over the air vent (white plastic cover) in the dressing room area of the trailer. Later that morning, the entire cover roof ripped apart. See attached photos. I discovered that the trailer cover only has a two year warranty. I will start to look for another trailer cover manufacturer who uses better materials. Very disappointing.

by:

I love this cover easy to install and remove. It did rip on the first install and I do wish it was a little more robust. It keeps the water out durning rain and let's the trailer breathe. I do wish the cover had labels letting you know which end is front and which ends is rear. Only time will tell how long the cover will last with 3 rips in the Mojave desert wind.

by:

My husband just put the cover on, the trailer is in a tight spot, with little room to work with. He said, it was the easiest cover to put on our 2020 Geo-Pro 18'.It fit like a glove and since we get a lot of wind he loved the amount of straps that were easy to access. It has a wide zipper area on the side to access the door. He was pleased with the quality of the material and with the price.

by:

The cover made it through the Michigan winter and in the spring the top seam started to come unstitched and then the cover ripped to shreds. ADCO did send a onetime replacement after we paid an exorbitant amount for shipping after trying to sell us a more expensive product. So far the new one seems to be holding up but we will see how the rest of the winter.

by:

My second purchase as the first, although 3 times as expensive and from a popular company, just didn't fit (sized in 3 or 4 foot increments). This cover from AuquaShed fit great and looks great. The material is somewhat easily damaged on sharp edges so extra care is needed to cover corners and trim edges.

by:

I put the cover on a year ago, 24ft v-nose. haven't taken it off. Made it through Wisconsin winter and summer rain. A couple of rips from sharp corners on the trailer and me opening The back to access my rear ramp door. For the price I am happy with it. If I needed to remove and replace the cover frequently I would want something more durable, but for long-term storage to protect from the weather and sun, this works great.

by:

This is how I found our camper cover after 1 season (6 mths) of storage on 5/22/23. The entire center disintegrated and fell apart. The material did not hold up at all.

by:

This cover was put on my RV once and stored at my family’s due to temporary job relocation. My family sent me the attached photos after 15 months covered. Expected this cover to last longer than that.

For your Jayco Redhawk, given that the midwest weather can be so variable I'd recommend an Adco SFS AquaShed RV Cover. The exact cover needed will depend on which model Redhawk you have. If you have the 22J, use # 290-52843 26XD, use # 290-52844 24B, use # 290-52844 25R, use # 290-52844 These covers provide the best all-weather protection and would be an excellent choice for your Jayco Redhawk.

  • Storage Cover for 1999 Tioga Sport Class C 26 Foot and Rainy Climates
Camco UltraGuard Class C/Travel Trailer Cover # CAM45742 is exactly 26 feet long so since your Class C RV is 26 feet long the cover would be a tight fit. I recommend taking a look at Adco RV Cover for Class C RV # 290-52844. It fits Class Cs 26 feet, 1 inch to 29 feet long so it would go on easier with less chance of the cover snagging on something during installation.
