How to Measure Your Roof

How to Measure Your Roof

These covers are designed to fit any RV roof up to 24' long. To determine the proper fit, measure only the length of your vehicle's roof - not the overall length of the RV. Start from the rear and measure to the beginning of any slope at the front.

Adco RV Roof Cover

This all-climate cover keeps your RV's roof dry and protected from the elements. The 3-layer DuPont Tyvek fabric construction makes this cover ideal for long-term storage in all climates. It is lightweight and easier to install than a full-size RV cover, but the heavy-duty material provides excellent protection from UV rays and other roof hazards. A wheel anchor system secures the cover in place and prevents the straps from touching the RV's sidewalls.

Fabric Guards Against Elements

Adco Tyvek Roof Cover

The cover is constructed of DuPont Tyvek fabric. This bright white material blocks 99.8 percent of the sun's damaging UV rays while keeping your RV cool through infrared heat reflection. It is breathable to avoid mold and mildew build-up, yet it prevents 98 percent of dirt and dust particles that can scratch or damage your roof from reaching the surface. Additionally, it protects your roof from acid rain, bird droppings, tree sap, dirt, dust, and other forms of environmental pollution to reduce premature aging and black streaks.

Easy Installation with Wheel Anchor System

Adco RV Roof Cover Wheel Anchor

The patent-pending wheel anchor system secures your roof cover to your RV. The system includes anchor poles that fit snugly around your RV's wheels, and buckles on the poles that connect to the straps on cover. This system prevents the cover from flying off during high winds, and it keeps the straps from coming into contact with the RV sidewalls. The system is compatible with all types of RVs.

Slip-Seam System

Adco RV Roof Cover Wheel Anchor on RV

A slip-seam strap system with cinch straps and buckles runs through the side hem at the top and bottom of the cover. Simply pull the straps tight and secure in place with the buckles to help reduce billowing and damage from high winds.

Video Transcript for Adco RV Roof Cover Review

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Adco Roof Cover for RVs. They're available in sizes that fit RV roofs between 18 and 40 feet in length. This water-resistant roof cover protects your RV's roof from environmental damage and UV rays. It's make with DuPont Tyvek construction for maximum durability. The fabric is breathable, preventing moisture from building up and turning into mold or mildew. It's designed to accommodate all of our roof top accessories.

It secures to the wheel anchor system, preventing the cover from lifting off. It also prevents our straps from coming into contact with our RV. It's designed to fit your Class A and Class C full-size RVs, as well as your fifth-wheel, toy hauler and travel trailer. When you're ready to use your RV again, the whole thing folds up and it stows in the included bag. Now that we've gone over the features, I'll go ahead and show you how to get it installed. First thing we need to do is unroll it and find the front and the rear.

The front and rear are going to be labeled so when you locate which one, go that direction. The all white side is going to be our exterior. We need that facing up. Now we can locate all of our straps and unroll them. Now let's fold the sides inward and then roll it up from the rear towards the front.

We'll want to make sure that our straps are in the center. Now we can set this aside and put our wheel anchors in place. This is going to go around the back side of our tire. The attached portion is going to be in back. For smaller tires, you can roll them inward and then attach them at the front, just the same.

We'll just go around back with one end and then bring them both out front. We've got a couple different buckles here. The one going horizontally is the one we're going to be using. The other ones are for our roof cover. Then, we can just tighten it up. We can repeat this for all four tires. For dual tires, it's just going to go around the first tire, through the center and tighten down just the same. With our wheel anchors in place, I've gone ahead and set my cover at the rear of my RV. I'm going to grab the front and head on up the ladder. Once I get to the top, I'm going to walk towards the front of my RV. I'm going to take the cover with me. Now we can begin unfolding our sides and dropping down the straps, starting at the corners here and working our way back. As you unfold it, you'll want somebody on the ground, connecting your buckles along the way. For the middle ones, you'll want to connect your provided strap and lower down the other end to your partner. Then, have your partner pull the slack out. You'll want to wait to connect the last corner until you climb down the ladder. With our last strap connected, we can go around to each of them and make sure they're all tight. For our front, we also have a cinch strap and it's going to help tighten up our corner, so we can just pull that down, adjust it and then connect it within here, and then pull it tight. We're all set. That's going to complete our look at the Adco Roof Cover for RVs.

I purchased the roof cover for my Vintage Cruiser 19RBS. Using a ladder I was able to easily get it on the trailer. I like the fit and it seems to keep the trailer a little cooler. I do recommend it and etrailer had fast delivery. [Thumbs up] 719036

The cover didn't last a year. The material fell apart and some of the straps pulled loose at the rivets. Also the strap material hardened and was no longer flexible. The idea of this design of cover is very good and I like it but it needs to be made of better materials. 681883

Very good quality, well made product but it does not work well for travel trailers. The cover is advertised to work on motorhomes, 5th wheels and travel trailers, however the strapping system is clearly designed for a vehicle with a front and rear axle. On a trailer, all of the cover's straps, both forward and aft, must be attached to the trailer tires which are of course toward the rear of the trailer. As a result, there is too little support holding the cover down on the front of the trailer. Every breeze over about 5 mph last winter caused the cover to billow and partially blow off. I finally jerry-rigged a combination of buggy cords that helped but did not completely eliminate the problem. This cover might be great for A, B, or C class motor homes, I can't recommend it for a trailer. ADCO: Please modify your strap system or make a cover designed specifically for travel trailers. 696651

Thanks for your product review about your Adco RV cover, I did want to let you know that ADCO does make covers specifically for Travel Trailers and the strapping system does appear to be different than the 290-36030 that you ordered. I have provided a link below for the travel trailer covers we currently carry for your reference:

fits well, keeps the trailer dry inside, despite the leaky roof. Thanks! 377984

I wish I would have purchased one of these Adco covers years ago. It might have saved me $3,000 worth of roof damage. So the moral of the story is, if your dealer tells you, you are best to not cover your RV in the winter. Do not listen to them, buy an Adco cover! Happy Adco/Etrailer customer 570819

I park my travel trailer under two trees and have to constantly clean. I wanted a cover that would be easier to use than my full cover. This product does exactly what I need. I was able to put it on with just a step ladder in about 30 minutes. I did not need to get on the roof as I do with the full cover. I like the way the straps are held away from the sides. Great product. 558478

Do you have a question about this RV Cover?

  • RV Roof Cover that Fits 34 Foot Long 5th Wheel
  • For a 34 foot long RV we have the Adco Tyvek Roof Cover part # 290-36042 which will work great as it's length range is for RVs that are between 30-36 feet and also was designed to fit with the standard roof accessories on RVs like AC systems. The material of this cover is also the best at providing protection against sun and snow. I attached a review video for this for you to check out as well.

  • Comparing the Adco Tyvek Roof Cover and Adco SFS AquaShed Cover for a Forest River Wolf Pup 18TO
  • The Adco Tyvek Roof Cover will be easier to install than the Adco SFS AquaShed Cover. The tie-downs all run to a single point, the wheel anchor. There is much less material to manage so it will be lighter, therefore less strenuous to drape over the trailer and you might not need to stand on the roof to get the straps to the other side (i.e. throw across top). That said, the Adco SFS AquaShed Cover does offer more protection so it really just boils down to weighing this with ease of...

  • RV Roof Cover that Fits Coleman 244bh Dutchman
  • I looked up the length of your Coleman 244bh Dutchman and found that it's 27-1/2 feet long so the Adco roof cover you'd want is the part # 290-36036 which fits RV roofs that are between 24 and 30 feet.

  • I reached out to my contact at Adco and the Adco Roof Cover for RVs - Tyvek - 24' Long # 290-36030 is 120 inches wide. He said it will hang over about 10 inches on each side and further where the straps hold it tight.

  • Can the Air Conditioner Be Used with the Adco Tyvek Roof Cover Installed
  • The Adco Tyvek Roof Cover for RVs part # 290-36030 is not really designed for your vents to breath but rather protect the roof of your trailer from the elements. This roof cover is actually made out of the same material as most of our full covers. If you wanted to run the air conditioner while the cover is installed you would need to make a hole for the vent as it would most likely not allow enough air to pass through sitting directly atop. To help give you a better idea of its venting...
