Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a quick look at the self-closing RV cabinet hinges. These are a spring loaded hinge, so they are going to keep your RV cabinet doors closed, even while you're traveling. If you we're to hit bumps or anything like that, it's going to prevent your cabinet door from opening and closing, potentially allowing the contents of your cabinet to fall out or just making a lot of noise opening and slamming shut.So these will mount flush to your door. You can see we've got a mounting bracket here, that's going to mount to the door of your cabinet. And then the hinge bracket here is going to mount onto the frame of your cabinet so that you can easily open and close those.
This is a two bracket kit, so you can install two brackets on a single cabinet door, or depending on the size of the door. Maybe you just need one per cabinet. Totally up to you, your situation. I do want to give you a few measurements to make sure that this is going to work for you.So our mounting bracket here, it is right about one and three eights of an inch wide. So just under an inch and a half wide by just over an inch and a half tall.
About one in five eights of an inch tall. Our hinge bracket here, it's going to be right about two and three quarters of an inch tall. And right about, call it about a half inch wide. And then the hinge itself, looking at right about one and seven eights, just shy of two inches tall by about a quarter of an inch wide. And again, just over half an inch, about five eights of an inch deep. That's how much it's going to stick out.
Like I said, you are going to get two hinges and all the mounting screws to get them mounted in place. These are the brass finish options. We do have some other options here at etrailer.com. If you prefer a different finish, these do come with a limited lifetime warranty. And I think they're going to do a good job for you.
They are a very strong spring, so it is going to help keep that door shut. Even if you hit a lot of turbulence on the road. If you're getting jostled around a lot. I think the cabinet doors are going to stay in place, make sure that nothing is falling out of them. That's going to complete our look at the self-closing RV cabinet hinges, again I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
