Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com, today we're going to take a quick look at the RV cabinet catch and strikes. This is a two piece system that's going to help keep your cabinets securely closed. We've got the pull handle here and the strike. You can pick the strike that's going to match your needs, they are slightly different in size, all about just around one inch in depth, with slight variations to get it slightly smaller to make sure that it's going to work for you. This will replace the catch in your RV cabinet to help keep that door closed.
It will work on any style of cabinet. It is a brass construction, so it's going to be very durable and sturdy, you're not going to have to worry about it breaking down. They have included all the hardware that you're going to need. These screws will get your handle attached and these smaller screws will help get your strike attached, whichever strike you choose to use.This does come with a limited lifetime warranty from JR Products. So if you have any problems, you can give them a call and they'll help you out with that.
But I don't think you're going to have any problems, I think it's going to be very easy to get this installed and to use it so that you can keep those cabinet doors close so you don't have to worry about them slamming shut as you're traveling or potentially allowing the contents to fall out. This strike was out of stock for some time, but it finally came in and was delivered. Attractive, and works well on problem cabinet door.
No reflection on etrailer, but these catches were / are used on older Casita Travel Trailers. They all will fail, eventually. The plastic slider wears and falls out.
But it is good to know that replacements are available, otherwise we would have a bigger problem.

I had looked at a number of RV parts replacement websites and had no luck. Through a search, etrailer came up and after having good experiance buying boat trailer items from them before I thought I'd see what they offered. It was a special set back cabinet latch for a lower truck camper to wheel well area door latch. Noah explained in great detail the item I felt would work. We ordered and it fit perfectly. It shipped very fast and we had things back togeather in no time. I will deffinately order from them in the future.

One latch broke after about 10 months but the spare is fine !
Could not get the striker to pull back, can't open this way. Only got it to move by pressing the end that would be under the holder. The construction of it otherwise is good, but not usable this way.
Rv cabinet catch worked perfect and is almost an identical match to the vintage catches in my camper.
