Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the heavy-duty roller catch for your RV cabinet. This will replace the roller catch that is currently installed on your RV cabinet, or it can add that roller catch if you don't already have one. But either way, it's going to allow your cabinet to be closed securely so you don't have to worry about the doors swinging open and slamming shut, creating a lot of noise and potentially allowing the contents of the cabinet to fall out as you're traveling down the road. This will work with any style cabinet. It's very easy to get installed.
It comes with all the hardware, just drill it into place. This is going to be spring loaded, so that it will latch on and not allow that cabinet to come open until you open it. This is a metal construction, so it's going to be very durable, not going to have to worry about it bending or warping. As far as our measurements go, our roller here is just over 1/2" wide. It's about 5/8".
As far as our bracket, it's about 1" by just over an 1 3/4", about 1 7/8".If we're counting the roller here, we're just over 1 1/2", probably about 1 5/8". The other bracket we have is right about 1 3/4" and 3/4" by 1" wide. This does come with a limited lifetime warranty from JR Products. If you have any problems, you can give them a call and they'll help you out, but I really don't think you're going to have any problems, is a pretty heavy duty roller and catch. I think it's going to do a good job for you.
That's really all there is to it. That's going to complete our look at the heavy duty roller catch for your RV cabinet. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com; thanks for watching.
We got answers to our questions from customer service but we were not able to install the latch on our cabinet and have it work. Our cabinet frame is too narrow for the base component and we had much trouble aligning the 2 pieces. Once installed the roller was not able to clear the bump. We were installing on a kitchen cabinet. The roller had to be installed vertically not horizontally, maybe that is why it did not meet up properly. Or user error (we were not skilled enough). Now we have new holes inside the door and will try to install a new double roller and hope that works. The original catch was a double roller type that stopped holding the door shut during travel.
