To ensure you get the correct size awning for your slide-out, measure from outer edge to outer edge of the trim. You will need 7" of clearance on both sides of the slide-out for the awning. If you don't have 7" clearance on both sides, go down to the next size; this will still give your slide-out plenty of coverage.
If there are two slide-outs next to each other, you will need a total of 14" of clearance between them for them both to have a slide-out awning. Again, you can go down a size if you are low on space.
Without a slide-topper, the roof of your slide-out room is continually exposed and can accumulate leaves and bugs and different types of debris. That debris can build up along the rubber strip at the top of your box, preventing a firm seal when your slide-out is retracted. Rain water can then get in and pool on the top of your slide-out. If you don't clear the water off each time it rains, mold can begin to form. And when your slide-out is pulled in, that mold gets inside your RV.
The Solera RV slide-out awning alleviates those problems by serving as a protective covering over the top of your RV's slide-out. Not only does it prevent debris from collecting on the roof of your slide-out, but it keeps water from pooling and potentially causing damage down the road. Because it mounts directly to the front of the slide box, the slide-out awning is able to automatically extend and retract every time the slide-out room is extended or retracted.
The durable awning fabric holds up to the rigors of the outdoors. It's made of premium 13.5-oz vinyl, which is an upgrade over the 10-oz fabric used in many awnings. This fabric also features heat-welded seams to prevent leaks. And it is made to withstand cold temperatures down to -25 degrees Fahrenheit, so it won't crack or degrade during the winter.
Use the self-tapping screws to secure the included access plate to the side of your slide-out, positioning the plate at the bottom of the T-molding. The two access brackets slide easily onto the access plate's track. The rods that are located at each end of the roller tube, which comes with the awning fabric already mounted, slide through the hole in the two access brackets.
The included awning rail is used to anchor the other side of the fabric to your RV. This rail can be mounted up to 5" above the trim on top of your slide box.
Note: It's important that the slide-topper sits at as steep an angle as possible so that any rainwater will drain immediately. Any water that sits in the awning can stretch out the fabric permanently and warp it out of shape.

The channel that holds the topper to the RV needs to be higher than what their instructions say. Other than that it's a good product.
The reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is the problems I had with the shipping. All if the shipping tubes we damaged to some extent and one if them was shipped 3 times because of damage done to the awning in transit. Other than that, the awnings look and work great. My 64 year old bride and 65 year old I installed them without too much trouble and 0 injuries. 3 on one side 1 long one on the other side.
The slide cover looks sturdy, the installation went well and we shouldn't have to worry about leaves, pine needles, pine cones and sticks on top of our slide.
Very satisfied with my slide-out awing after one year later. It was shipped and packaged very well

I am happy with the quality and performance of my slide-out topper however, I wish I would have mounted the awning rail a little higher because when it rains and the topper is out it fills up with water and sinks down on the slide-out. To remove the water I have to bring the slide-out in. I can only imagine how stressed-out the topper is with gallons of water laying on top of it, but it always returns to the original shape. Its one tough topper but how long will it last in the pouring rain?
This awning works great! I was concerned about getting the right size but with the help from the e-trailer staff we got the measurements correct. It was an easy install and it fit perfectly. The install was quicker than I anticipated. What I like most is it keeps black streaks from forming on either side of the slide out by channeling water away from the edges. I would recommend this produce to anyone. The price was great, shipping was fast, and it works as expected.
Very ironic that I checked my emails while sitting in our trailer with a light rain falling! I have no worries that I need to pack up in a bit and there will be no water or debris coming into the trailer when the slide room comes in. The awning was very easy to install and performs perfect! I can't imagine having a slide without an awning. We did try some of the tricks from forums on clearing the top of the slide room before travel but the rain was a hard one to get around.
We needed a replacement after some wind damage to our original topper and this one was extremely easy to install. After a year of use in all kinds of weather, it’s held up excellently. Even with a great product, I was more impressed with the customer service provided through etrailer. They followed up at each step, offered great instruction for measuring for a new topper and installation. I’m definitely going to do business with them again!
Awning came well packed, all parts were there, fit very nice! Works great. Even showed up earlier than expected.
The product works great, easy install, tension adjustment is a hassle. Would be good to have a ratcheting adjustment, so you wouldn't have to remove item from brackets to adjust.
Product is very good but the installation instructions could have been a little better.
Showed up looking like they drove a Mack truck over the box. Took it all out and it looks usable except they didn't send the rail for it. So 2 put of 3 awnings we're unusable. Very frustrating.
The product itself is awesome. Although customer service needs a lot of work. This email stuff back and forth when you have issues with orders just makes matter worse. After talking with several of your employees it is clear to me they have little experience in the RV parts industry let alone the knowledge it takes to clear up an issue.
The slide topper I purchased was 13’1” wide. The actual roller sags in the middle. I’m almost sure the actual metal roller is not strong enough.
Slider awning installed easily and work great.
Product was shipped missing some parts. One phone call and missing parts were shipped out with no hassle. Communication was good through the entire process. Will definitely do business with e trailer again.
Easy install. Definitely helps protect the roof of the slide.
Awning came very well packed with no damage. It was very easy to install following the directions.
Bailey was very helpful and knowledgeab le.
