Features to know about

Fewer Parts, Faster Setup, Direct Cooling

Ductless air conditioners move air straight into the RV without relying on ceiling ductwork, making them ideal for smaller rigs, retrofits, or any setup where simplicity matters. With a ductless system, what you see is what you get: a rooftop unit connected directly to a ceiling assembly that pushes steady airflow into your living space. They're also perfect for adding a second AC to areas that never cool down properly, like an upper bunk or bonus room. If your RV has no ductwork, a ductless setup gives you cooling power you can feel.

A Smarter, Future-Ready Choice

A lot's changed in RV cooling over the years, and one of the biggest shifts is what's inside the system - not just the tech, but the refrigerant itself. This model uses R-32, a newer refrigerant that cools efficiently while producing significantly less environmental impact. It's cleaner, more future-friendly, and already becoming the standard across the industry. If you're replacing an aging unit, you're not just upgrading your airflow you're upgrading what's behind it.

Video Transcript for Review of GE Appliances RV Air Conditioners - 13500 Btu Black Deluxe Ductless RV AC System - GE32ZR

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look together at this GE Appliances 13,500 BTU Black Deluxe Ductless RV Air Conditioning System. Now, this is going to be a great option for you to consider if you're looking to upgrade or add an air conditioner system on your RV's ductless system in your small to medium-sized camper. This 13,500 BTU per hour air conditioner is going to cool evenly, and this is coming from a brand that you trust. Now, this does use the more energy efficient R32 refrigerant, which meets the 2025 EPA regulations.

Because of that, this unit is not going to be backwards compatible with any air conditioning system from 2024 and earlier. Now, this is going to be a bolt-on installation with the hardware that you see there on the other side of my table there. And this is going to fit roofs from two to six inches thick with an opening size of 14 3/8 inches long by 14 3/8 inches wide. And let's talk about some measurements real quick on this air conditioner unit. So measuring the overall length, we're sitting right at 32 13/16 inches long.

The overall width, 26 1/8 inches wide. The overall height right under 14 inches, technically 13 15/16 inches tall. And this unit weighs little under 80 pounds. So this is going to run quietly because the motor has sound-dampening grommets to help reduce that annoying humming and vibration sound. And this is pretty much gonna be an easy swap for most RVs.

This is going to seamlessly install over your roof's preexisting roof vent opening. And this air conditioner unit has been built tough for the road. It's designed for that RV use. It's constructed with high-grade materials, so it's gonna withstand extreme UV rays and that constant vibration that is common with going down the road in an RV. This does feature this black, hard, automotive grade polymer shroud.

That's gonna do a great job of protecting the internal components from debris, dirt, and water. And it can be easily removed if you ever need to do any cleaning or maintenance. There's four Phillips head screws that hold it into place, so it can be easily removed and replaced. It does include a wiring harness that's tucked in underneath. So all you have to do when you're installing this is pull that harness down from underneath and run it through the roof vent and it's gonna be an easy plug-in operation. I do want to point out that you do want to keep the rear of the air conditioner unit at least 18 inches away from any obstructions. Let's take a closer look here at this side of my table here to go over the components that's included. So you are going to get this air distribution box. This is also built to handle road vibrations and everyday RV life. And so just to go over some measurements of this box real quick, just so you have a good idea of the size, looking at the overall width and length, we're sitting right at 21 inches. And then when you have this installed in your ceiling, it's going to stick down from your ceiling about 2 to 2 1/2 inches, just so you have an idea of how much clearance you're going to have. And then this does include this black thermostat. This is a single-zone thermostat, and this does include easy-to-use buttons, as you can see right here. And then it has a really nice large display. It's gonna be backlit. So this is gonna be very easy to see your settings, to set your settings in all types of lighting conditions since it is backlit. And then we also have the control panel or control box here. And as you probably know, this is the brain that manages how the air conditioner unit operates. And as I mentioned, it does include the hardware to get this installed into place, the air divider, and so everything that you basically are going to need to get this system up and running. And again, this is from a brand that is well-known. It's a name that's been very trusted, especially with kitchen appliances in the home for decades. And so you're gonna bring that same trust, reliability, into your RV with the GE brand name. Now, if this isn't exactly what you're looking for, maybe you're looking for a higher BTU rated system or maybe something for a, a ducted system rather than a ductless system, the good news is we do carry a wide variety of air conditioning systems from GE. So take a look at the other offerings that we have from them and I'm confident that you're gonna be able to find exactly what you need. However, if you determine that this is going to be exactly what you need, we would love to hear your experience regarding getting this installed and operation as well. And you can share those experiences with us either by dropping a comment or leaving us a review and letting us know how everything's working out for you. And send us some pictures of your setup as well. We'd love to see it. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

I haven't installed the AC unit yet. I just wanted to say that the ordering process is extremely easy to complete the transaction process. Checking out of the cart is routine and completed in minutes. I was on the road traveling and decided to order the AC unit and have it delivered to my house. Checking out process has the option to deliver your order to an E-Trailer trusted agent business. I requested to have the AC unit delivered to a trusted agent near my traveling location. who work with E-trailer. The agent was extremely helpful loaded in my truck. Just waiting to get it installed this sometime this week.
