This Furrion Chill AC system lets you replace an existing single zone setup or add a new setup if your RV or camper doesn't already have one. It includes all of the components necessary to adjust the temperature inside your RV.

Air Conditioner

Furrion

The air conditioner has two fans, each with their own motor, to help move cool air faster and more efficiently inside your RV on a hot and muggy day. It also has a built-in start capacitor that uses stored energy to give an extra boost of power to help jump-start your unit when a campsite or generator doesn't provide enough power. Integrated rubber dampeners on the compressor reduce vibration and allow your AC unit to run quietly.

Single Zone Controller

Furrion Single Zone Controller

The single zone controller has a convenient, built-in temperature sensor that communicates with the included single zone basic wall thermostat. It also features short-cycle protection so that your air conditioner won't cycle off prematurely, ensuring your RV reaches its temperature set-point.

Air Distribution Box

Furrion Air Distribution Box

The air distribution box accommodates ducted and ductless systems. It features 2 slotted registers to maximize airflow in your RV. The registers can be closed to divert more air to the ducts in a ducted system.

Single Zone Premium Wall Thermostat

Furrion Single Zone Premium Wall Thermostat

The single zone premium wall thermostat has 5 different operating modes and a sleep setting to ensure optimal comfort throughout your RV or camper.

Auto Mode: Allows the system to automatically change between cool mode and heat mode based on the room temperature. When the room temperature reaches 77 degrees F, the system will operate in cool mode. When the room temperature drops below 68 degrees F, the system will operate in heat mode (only when furnace is enabled).

Cool Mode: Cycles the compressor on and off based on the room temperature and the temperature set-point. When the compressor is running, the fan will be turned on to either low, medium, high, or auto. On auto fan, the fan speed varies depending on the difference between the temperature set-point and room temperature.

Fan Speed

Heat Mode (only when furnace is enabled): Cycles the compressor on and off based on the room temperature and the temperature set-point. When the compressor is running, the fan will be turned on to either low, medium, high, or auto. The fan speed selection only applies to the fan speed on the air conditioner and not the fan speed of the furnace.

Fan Mode: Operates continuously at low, medium, or high speed.

Dry Mode: Runs the compressor continuously when the room temperature is higher than the temperature set-point. When the room temperature is lower than the temperature set-point, the compressor cycles on for 10 minutes and off for 6 minutes to maintain your desired temperature. The fan speed runs continuously at low speed.

Sleep Setting: Automatically increases your temperature set-point 2 degrees every hour up to 2 hours. After 2 hours, the fan is set to low speed. This allows your unit to use less power overnight and reduces noise while you sleep.

Ask the Experts about this Furrion RV Air Conditioners

  • What Power Source Typically Powers a Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioner
The Furrion Chill Premium RV Air Conditioner System # F14PA12SASA-W that you referenced uses AC power like what a home uses and not 12 volt DC power like what a battery provides. This typically gets powered by a generator like the part # 333-0002. Even if you converted a battery to AC power it would not have the amount of wattage needed to run this unit. I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well.

  • Generator Setup for Powering 14,500 BTU Furrion Chill RV AC Unit
The Furrion Chill 14,500 BTU part # F14PA12SASA-W does draw more wattage/amperage when starting compared to when running so you do need a generator with more wattage than a 2,200 watt Honda. Since the starting watts is over 4,000 you'd need a setup like the etrailer generators part # 333-0001-0002 which can provide 4,900 watts for startup.

  • Non-Ducted Air Conditioner to Replace Ducted Air Conditioner
To replace the ducted air conditioning system in your trailer with a non-ducted unit you will need the Furrion Chill Premium RV Air Conditioner System # F14PA12SASA-W (14,500 BTU) or # F15PA12SASA-W (BTU). The difference in BTU rating simply means the higher-rated 15,500 BTU unit will cool your RV a little bit quicker, but also draws more power, 15.4 amps compared to the 14.6 amps of the 14,500 BTU system. I recommend the 14,500 BTU Furrion Chill Premium RV Air Conditioner # F14PA12SASA-W...
