  • Selecting Between Low Profile Or Standard Advent Air Conditioner To Replace Dometic AC Rooftop Unit
You can use either the Low Profile # ASA56YR or the Standard # ACDOM135B Advent 13.5K AC unit to replace your current Dometic unit. It will work with the digital thermostat, furnace system and air distribution box being ducted in the ceiling. The only difference in these units is the height. They both have the same cooling power and 500 cubic feet per minute of circulation. If the height is not an issue you can go with the standard unit over the low profile.

  • Why Are Most Roof Top AC Units Not Compatible w/ a Dometic Duo Therm
That's because most of them are not compatible, especially if it's a different manufacturer. If by whole unit you mean the AC unit that sits on top and the diffuser box on the inside then no it won't matter. If you're just wanting to replace the AC system, I'll need to know what model it is so I can make sure it's going to work with your air box. If you could comment below a part number off of your Dometic Duo Therm, I would be happy to recommend a replacement AC unit or entire system...

  • Replacement AC Recommendation for a Dometic 57915.331
I have the perfect solution for you, Chris! The 13.5K Btu Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner for Dometic Setup with a Start Capacitor is a great replacement as it has the same output rating of your current AC unit, it has a plug to plug right into your existing wiring, and the start capacitor lowers the amount of power needed to initially start up the unit. This kit is available in two different colors: - White # ASA99YR - Black # ASA56YR I'm also attaching a review video for...

  • Replacement Recommendation for 13.5K Btu Duo-Therm 600315.321 ACs on a 1997 Coachmen Motorhome
Hey Dennis, thanks for reaching out! To replace your 13.5K Btu Duo-Therm 600315.321 air conditioners I recommend using the low profile Advent air conditioners that come with a start capacitor for less power draw during startup: - Black # ASA56YR - White # ASA99YR The best part is that these will plug right in to your existing wiring so the conversion will be pretty straightforward. Attached is a review video of this air conditioner for your reference.

  • Will Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner Plug In to Dometic AC System
Hey Ryan, thank you for your purchase of the Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner for Dometic Setup # ASA56YR! Since you're replacing an existing Dometic setup and this is designed to plug and play with a Dometic system you're good to go! If you didn't have a Dometic setup (or one that we have compatible units for) then yes, you would need to also get an air distribution box and a thermostat. Enjoy your new AC system!

  • Can I Replace My Cometic AC With An Advent ASA56YR And What Is Starting/Running Watts?
Hello Shannon thanks for reaching out. The Advent # ASA56YR will indeed be a direct replacement Domestic 13,500 btu AC unit. The Advent units are made to be directly compatible with Dometic Ac systems like the one in your Coleman camper. The Advent 13,500 BTU AC requires 3,000 watts for starting and 1,000 watts while running. The included start capacitor is what bring the starting watts down so low.

  • Replacement Rooftop AC Unit For a Dometic Duo-Therm Penguin Low Profile AC
As the Dometic Duo-Therm Penguin is a low profile air conditioner I recommend one of the low profile AC's from the list below. We have white or black shrouds in either a 13.5K or 15K BTU rating. 13.5K White # ASA99YR 15K White # ASA86YR 13.5K Black # ASA56YR 15K Black # ASA68YR

  • Is Advent Air Low Profile RV AC Plug and Play
Hi Corey; the answer to your question depends on what you have now. Are you replacing another Advent Air unit or Dometic unit with a 6-pin plug? If so, this will plug directly into your existing setup and work with your air distribution box (ADB) and thermostat. If you have a Coleman with a 9-pin it can be plug and play if you use the # ACCOLKIT. If you have something else and you want to stick with this unit you will need the # ASA96YR or # ASA89YR which comes with the ADB. I would be...

  • What Advent Air Conditioner will Replace My Dometic Penguin AC Only?
Hello Darrin, Sorry to hear that your Dometic Penguin went into retirement. The RV AC's went to a new refrigerant this year, they went from the R410a to the R32. You cannot mix the old R410a parts with the new R32 parts, they have made them to not physically match up but that's only because if you do mix the parts it could cause a spark and result in a fire. As we sell out of our R410a parts, they are gone for good. The new R32 is more efficient than the R410a, so it is a win for all,...

  • Replacement AC Recommendation for a Duo-Therm Model 57915.731
Hey James, thanks for reaching out! Your Duo-Therm Model 57915.731 AC unit is rated for 13.5K Btu so I recommend going with an Advent Air Low Profile replacement: - Black # ASA56YR - White # ASA99YR These have the same 13.5K Btu and come with a start capacitor so they don't pull as much power on startup. Let me know if you have any other questions!

  • Replacement AC Recommendation for a Dometic Duo-Therm 600315321
Hey Levi, thanks for reaching out! I recommend using an Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner for Dometic Setup which comes in Black # ASA56YR as well as White # ASA99YR. This comes with a plug that matches up with your current Dometic AC unit so it will be a simple swap, and you won't be left to splice a bunch of wires together. Is there anything else you're needing to update to get ready for camping season?

  • Can I Start And Run An Ac Unit With A 2,200W AC Pure Sine Wave Inverter
Hello David. A 2,200W inverter would allow you to run an AC unit but you would not be able to start one. For example the Advent 13,500 BTU AC # ASA56YR requires 3,000 watts for starting and 1,000 watts while running. We do not offer anything that will start on 2,200W.
