Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Advent Air White Low Profile 13,500 BTU, RV Air Conditioner for your Coleman setup. Now this low profile air conditioning unit is going to let you replace your Coleman mock rooftop air conditioner on your RV or camper. And this low profile design is going to minimize wind resistance. It's gonna help improve your fuel efficiency.
It's gonna give you additional overhead clearance. And this 13,500 BTU per hour air conditioner is going to quickly and efficiently cool the inside of your RV or camper. Now this is compatible with ducted or ductless systems. This is a bolt on installation. However, I do wanna make you aware of the fact that installation hardware is not included with this.
So you would have to source that installation hardware locally, and get the hardware that's gonna best fit your application. Now motor, this is going to work with your motor homes, your travel trailers, your fifth wheels, but this is not approved for use on school buses, food trucks, enclosed utility trailers, or off-roading vehicles. This is going to fit roofs from 2 and a 1/2 inches to 5 inches thick with an opening size of 14 and a 1/4 inches long and 14 and a 1/4 inches wide. And while we're talking measurements, let's go over some overall measurements of this unit just so you have a good idea of the size. So measuring the length first from the front to the back, we're sitting at about 31 inches long.
And then the overall width here at the widest point, we're sitting right at about 24 and 15/16 inches wide. And then the overall height here at the tallest point, we're sitting at about 10 and 1/8 inches tall. And this unit itself weighs a little under 70 pounds. And let me go ahead and take this cover off here. I went ahead and removed the screws that held, that hold the cover in place before our time together, just so it'd be easier to remove.
And I wanna give you an overhead view here just to show you what's going on under the cover. So this unit features a fan blade with a three speed motor, and that's gonna provide ample airflow at 500 cubic feet per minute. And this also features a condensation dispersion system, which is going to increase cooling efficiency by managing moisture to prevent water runoff. So the cover is really constructed of a great piece of plastic. I have dealt with other air conditioning units before and sometimes the cover can be kind of flimsy. It feels light, doesn't feel real durable, but that's not the case with this cover. This cover fits really tight around the unit itself, so it's not gonna, you're not gonna have to worry about this rattling around or anything like that. But it's just, it's a great piece of plastic. So I think it's going to hold up really well against the elements. And this is going to be very easy to remove. You just again, remove the screws that hold this in place with a Phillips screwdriver. And then this is going to allow for easy maintenance and easy cleanup. And then it's gonna be very easy to replace the cover when you are done. Now taking a look at, I wanted to give you a kind of a closer look here at the unit itself. This air conditioner does feature a rigid metal frame, and then hopefully you can see the pads there underneath, you're not gonna be able to see all of it, but hopefully you can get a view of that. This does feature those thick foam support pads that's going to give you support between your RV roof and air conditioner and gasket seals, the opening to prevent water seepage and air leaks. And those foam pads are gonna do a great job of reducing noise. Now this kit also includes this adapter wiring kit that's going to enable this air conditioner to work with your existing Coleman setup. And then it does include hardware and a template to help you install this. And then this also comes with this start capacitor. And as you know, this capacitor is going to help jumpstart your air conditioner when the camp, the campsite that you're at or generator that you might be using just does not give you, just enough power to start up your air conditioner. This capacitor actually stores energy that will later be used for the next startup. So this is also included with this kit. And this is going to be UL and CUL certified. And this of course, again, comes in this white color. But if this color doesn't necessarily go with the rest of your setup and you're looking for another color, the good news is we do carry this kit in black as well. So if you're interested in taking a look at that system with the black cover, you can just take the item number that you see there on your screen, put it in the search field of our website, and that will take you to the black version of this kit. Everything is going to be the same, all the components and the features are gonna be the same. Just gonna be a air conditioner unit with a black cover instead of a white cover. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
Every thing shipped fast and no damage
Easy to install and as described
The replacement air conditioner works perfectly. The base plate on my original Coleman was smaller, so we have to make some adjustments otherwise everything works great.
Installation, went smooth without any problems
The unit is cooling very well
Everything was exactly what what I needed to get chilling again
It’s has been a good unit for a year now. No issues at all
This replacement air conditioner fit perfectly in the spot where the other one was located. We were very happy with the speed at which it was delivered and the ease of installation.
So far so good, I ordered two of these to replace my existing units.
One unit arrived damaged, but is working OK.
They seem a little noiser than the Coleman Machs.
Working good so far.
