Today we're going to be taking a look at the replacement access hatch for RVs from Valterra. This unit adds or replaces an access hatch on your RV, boat, or horse trailer. It really can be used for many different applications. The mounting pattern on the unit is designed to match most original hatch rings. It's going to provide access to plumbing, electrical, cargo areas, and hose compartments. It's going to feature a nice, waterproof seal that prevents leakage.
It goes around the perimeter here of the opening, and the unit's constructed of a ABS construction. It's very strong and durable, and that's going to be black in color. It's UV resistant. If we take measurement of the opening, that's going to give us that five inch measurement. Then if we take a measurement, outer edge to outer edge, that's going to give us a diameter measurement of pretty close to six and three-quarters of an inch. Then if we go from the center of one mount hole straight across to the center of the other, we're going to get a measurement of around six and one-eighth of an inch.
Mounting holes go around the entire perimeter. Mounting hardware is going to be sold separately. Again, numerous mount holes allow for a nice, tight, secure installation. That's going to do it for today's look at the replacement access hatch for RVs from Valterra.

My motorhome has a very difficult place to bypass the water heater when winterizing. The metal cover could not be removed to gain access. Instead you could pry up the metal cover plate enough to get your arm in to blindly turn the valve. I ordered the access hatch from etrailer. I marked the hole and cut it with a saber saw. Once the hole was cleaned up, I installed the hatch. Now the winterizing job is simple. I think this should have been this way when the RV was manufactured. Thanks to etrailer and their great service I have another job well done.
Works great. I used it as an access point for a generator inside an aluminum box. See pictures. One technical point, the access cover diameter is 5". The hole drilled to mount the cover is 5 1/2".

Still working great.
This product was purchased to replace the original one due to a tire problem broke the original. This product is just like the original and fit perfectly except that I had to buy different fasteners to install it.
