Hello, neighbors. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our B&B RV Round Electric Cable Hatch, and it has a nice back on it to help hold the wires in place. And it's gonna be most likely for your 50 amp electrical connections. Now folks, this does come in a nice colonial white that we're looking at here today. It's a pretty simple but durable cable hatch.
It's made of a hard ABS plastic, it's UV stabilized. It's not gonna fade, turn yellow, anything like that. It's gonna resist road salts. It's been NFS-certified, TEI and also CSA-certified as well. Now it's a simple, like I said, durable hatch.
It's got a main hinge door here that you can see. It also has a sliding access door where when you have everything plugged in, you can close it and just have the fit cord coming out. So, that's your passthrough door, as they call it. And it can accept a cord up to 50 amps in size. Now, the hinge here has been reinforced.
It should last a lot longer than the standard ones out there on the market. And it's a hatch flange here that's gonna secure it into wherever you mount it. Now, they do give you the mounting hardware as well. You get three screws that have already been painted. They're painted white on top, so they should match up pretty nicely with that.
You also get a roll of butyl tape. If you're not sure what this is, if you've never heard of it. Butyl tape is basically like a smashable putty. It's gonna give you a waterproof connection. You're gonna put it down here, put this in place, run your screws through the three holes through the butyl tape, and hold it nice and tight onto the RV camper van, wherever you're putting it on. Now, as far as some dimensions, let me get my ruler here real quick. So, the cutout here is 3 1/2 inches overall width. That's the cutout size you need to make if you're making one. The overall diameter of this guy's side to side, including the flange, is 4 5/8ths inches diameter. The depth here is 2 3/8ths inches deep. Has a nice one year warranty. And again, folks, this is gonna be a great addition or just a replacement for that electric cable hatch. As you can see, it's got perforated slits here, so when you put the cord in, it's gonna help hold it in place just like that. So, very nice feature, very nice product by B&B. Folks, that's gonna wrap it up for today. Thanks for looking with me. I hope this information's been helpful. Maybe a little educational as well. Have a great day.
