Video Transcript for MB Sturgis Propane - Hoses - 100476-120-MBS Review

Today we're going to take a look at the MB Sturgis 120" RV Quick Connect Propane Hose. This quick connect propane hose is compatible with MB Sturgis model 250, it'll work on Cast Industries, Gas-Mate, and Gas Flow quick disconnects. This is a thermal plastic construction, has 1/4" inner diameter. The ends on this, this end you can see is the 1" male swivel connection, on the other end, if we take the cap off you can see, it is the 1/4" male model 250 quick disconnect plug. What this is designed to fit on is, I happened to pull a fitting here that has the MB Sturgis model 250 quick disconnect, and what's nice about that, there's no tools required. All you have to do is you'll see there's a lever right here, you just push this lever which will close the valve in there, take your plug out and then you'll notice you'll be able to do your quick disconnect. The end of this hose just slide right in there and then you make your quick disconnect, no tools needed and then you just turn that lever inline and that'll allow the propane to flow through.

It opens the valve and then that keeps the quick disconnect from opening and then just to take it off, close the valve again and slide that, and it'll disconnect just that easy. Very quick, easy connections. This will content small portable camping appliances to female quick disconnect on RV piping system. This does meet the CSA and CGA 8.3 certification. This is designed for LP gas only. The temperature range that this works in is a -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, the maximum pressure rating on this hose is 350 psi.

As I mentioned, if we extended this out and measured it end-to-end would be 120" long. That should do it for the review on the MB Sturgis 120" RV Quick Connect Propane Hose.

I have just received my order and have not had time to use it. It seems to fit everything I need it for but until I can get it out I can't give a true review I will revisit this at a later date. 682475

I did not give a 5 star only because the item was out of stock after I ordered and it took a few weeks before being shipped. Other than that I was informed shortly after I ordered that it was out of stock and that it was going to take a few week. Once it was ready for shipment I got an email informing of that. Unsure if hose or supply from RV but pressure seems low at gas grill, not getting the same flame that I get when using a propane tank. 407237

Ordered this product for our camper to use with our propane tank and portable grill. While we haven't used it yet, it fits our quick disconnect and grill. This particular item was on back order from the manufacturer and they let me know immediately of this so I wasn't wondering where it was. Great customer service for sure! I would definitely order from them again. 421179

I bought this propane hose to connect to a griddle that was made for disposable cylinders. We have a propane port on our 5th wheel that's on the awning side. Having that port, I needed a hose to plug in and to adapt to the larger threads of a disposable cylinder female thread on the griddle. The 100476-120-MBS fits the need perfectly. I wanted enough length to reach beyond the awning to a picnic table to cook without the smoke gathering under the awning. The 10' length is great and not easy to find at other suppliers. I can still remain under the awning if it is raining. Sorry, I don't have any pictures, the camper is covered up for the winter here in PA. Looking forward to spring and using our cast iron griddle again! This isn't the only purchase we've made at etrailer and won't be the last, nice people, good value and prompt delivery. 602062

We purchased this to connect our 5th wheel 'quick connect' to our Weber "Q" series grill. The hose works great, requires no modifications of either the camper or grill, and is easy to roll up and store in the basement with the grill. I highly recommend this if you are tried of buying disposable LP containers or lugging around an extra propane tank. 460959

I bought the hose to hook up to my campers outside kitchen gas line that was already run with a quick disconnect. The quick connect hooked up perfectly and the other end threaded into my grills gas regulator (which was the same threads as a 1lb lp cylinder). 543180

I wanted to find a propane gas hose with male quick connect on one end and threaded connection on the other that would allow me to run my 3 burner camp stove that has a built in low pressure regulator. I wanted to be able to hook directly into my RV exterior bbq line. I found exactly what I needed at etrailer. I called them and made sure it was what I wanted, ordered it and it came when promised. New, with rubber cap plugs, in manufactures packaging. Best of all it hooked up perfectly! Very happy with service and product. 700659

Ask the Experts about this MB Sturgis Propane

  • Will Portable Gas Grill That Uses Disposable Cylinder Get Enough Pressure from RV Propane Supply
Portable propane grills like Faulkner # FR51323 that has a built-in regulator will function from a small disposable cylinder, a portable tank or from your RV's propane supply. Since the output pressure from a disposable cylinder is lower than that from either a portable/refillable tank or an RV propane supply the grill with regulator will work fine with the RV connection.

  • Can RV Gas Grill Use Accessory Hose for Connection to Larger Gas Source
We do not offer the Coleman Roadtrip XXL gas grill but based on my research it can use a hose like 6-foot # 100476-72-MBS or the longer 10-foot # 100476-120-MBS. This grill does have individual gas controls for each of its two burners. Usually there are issue only when trying to use a smaller propane source, one that delivers less pressure that what the appliance requires. For example, if the device was made for 20-lb tanks as the source it would not get enough pressure from a small...

  • How Does the MB Sturgis Quick Disconnect Propane Hose # 100476-120-MBS Install on a Camper
The MB Sturgis Quick Disconnect Propane Hose for Small Appliance # 100476-120-MBS will install on a T-Fitting before the regulator on the camper side. Some campers already have the T-Fitting installed so if this is the case you will be good to go. If your camper does not already have a T-Fitting installed before the regulator on the camper you can simply install the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting for Type 1 Valve # 103613-MBS. This will help you avoid running your propane through 2 regulators...

Since the grill does come with a regulator, you may also need a T-Fitting if you don't already...

The other end of the hose has a quick disconnect fitting for the trailer propane supply.

  • Will MB Sturgis Propane Hose 100476-120-MBS Fit a Coleman Disposable Propane Grill/Tank
MB Sturgis RV Quick Connect Propane Hose # 100476-120-MBS will not work with the small throw away propane tanks. If your RV has a 1/4 inch quick disconnect receptacle and the appliance itself takes a 1"-20 male thread-on fitting then it will work. If you are looking for something that will work with the small throw away tanks you will likely need # 100284-60-MBS.

  • Can Regulator for Camp Stove be Used if Trailer Already has a Regulator
If you will be connecting the MB Sturgis Quick Disconnect Propane Hose for Small Appliance # 100476-120-MBS directly to your trailer then yes, it will work properly as long as the propane is being run through the camp stove regulator as well. Be mindful that this hose cannot be used on a Coleman high-pressure product that is run off of a low-pressure propane system.

  • Low Propane Gas Flow from Camper to Weber Grill
The flow of propane can't be over-regulated unless the 2 different regulators restrict the flow at different amounts. Take a look at what your Weber grill requires and what your camper regulator is rated for (assuming that the regulator on the grill is correct for that grill). Most camper propane systems use low pressure, 11 inch water column, appliances so if your grill is different then that could be the problem. Another possible issue is the length of the supply hose from the camper...

  • Troubleshooting RV Propane Grill that Has Low Output When Connected to Feed Line w Two Regulators
If you are regulating your propane twice that would be why you are experiencing low output on your grill. This is further proven when you said you ran it directly to your propane tank and the grill worked fine. So what you need is a tee connector installed in line with your current propane tank before the regulator like with the part # 103537-MBS so that you can get unregulated propane to your grill that has a regulator.
