Hook up an auxiliary tank to your RV to provide propane in case your primary runs dry during long campouts and get extra versatility in your propane system. Provides you with a quick-disconnect propane outlet for cooking without disposable cylinders.

Features:

  • T-fitting lets you connect a backup auxiliary cylinder to your RV's propane system
    • No need to break up camp to go refill your onboard ASME tank
  • POL fittings install in-line between your tank valve and pigtail to your pressure regulator
  • 2 Model 250 quick-disconnect ports let you hook up and disconnect without hand tightening
    • When valve on your ASME tank is closed, one port can function as an inlet for an auxiliary tank
    • When valve on your tank is open, can provide propane to 2 appliances
  • Shut-off levers on quick-disconnect ports allow you to easily shut off gas supply
    • Ball valve prevents disconnection when lever is in the "on" position to keep gas contained
  • Durable brass fittings approved for LP gas only
    • UL and CSA certified
  • Made in the USA

Specs:

  • Temperature range: -40 F to 350 F
  • Maximum pressure rating: 250 psi

Make camping more fun and relaxing. Moving your RV once you've gotten settled at the campsite is a real chore. No one wants to have to pack up, unplug, and go refill the propane tank, just to come back to the site and set everything up all over again. This Sturgi-Stay T-fitting lets you connect an auxiliary cylinder to your setup using a quick-disconnect fill hose (sold separately). As a result, you can run your appliances from the propane in your cylinder rather than using up the LP gas from your RV's tank. When you run out, just refill the auxiliary cylinder and hook it up again.

Quick Disconnect Ports

QDs

The Sturgi-Stay features 2 quick-disconnect ports. The first port connects to the hose from the auxiliary cylinder. The other port provides a connection point for a small, portable appliance or propane tree. This way you can power a grill, heater, or other accessory without needing to use a 1-lb throwaway cylinder.

Both quick-disconnect ports let you connect and disconnect hoses without any tools. Simply snap the quick-disconnect hoses (sold separately) into the ports and they will stay locked in until you release them. To remove the hoses, just pull back on the collars of the ports. The ports also feature gas shut-off levers that allow you to completely cut off the propane supply to that port to keep gas contained when no hose is attached. Be sure to move the lever to the "off" position before disconnecting the hose.

I've had these on my other RVs. Be careful and check for leaks, usualy around the valve stems. They claim they are rated up to 250psi but the fittings are marked at only 1/2psi. Whats up with that?

by:

I ordered this to save money on the 1 lb green tanks. Well it worked great for the first 10 months! It leaks around the on and off valves!! So I removed it before we had a bigger issue as this was connected to my propane tank under my Class A Motorhome.

It is unusual for the fitting to leak however it does have a 1-year warranty. I can send the warranty instructions if you are interested.

This is my second purchase of this product. The valve works as designed and saves a trip to fill the on board propane tank in the Motorhome. It is easy to install. I am planning on using this one with a Webber grill with a built in regulator. Highly recommend if your interested in using portable tanks(easy refill) with a fixed or built in propane tank.

The Sturgi-Stay T fitting is working perfectly. I used the value to add a portable tank during the freezing temps, which saved the fuel in the onboard tank and doesn’t require moving the RV to refill. While camping I connect the grill with the value and there is no need for any additional propane tank. Saves alot of cargo space This is the best option to add to any RV.

by:

This hose is exactly what I needed to connect my griddle to my RV propane tank. It works perfectly.

by:

I purchased this Sturgis fitting after trying another cheaper brand I found on a major online store. It was a waste of money and leaked from seals and connections from day one. The Sturgis, on the other hand, worked immediately and has been operating flawlessly since day one! Don't spend good money on cheap imitations. Buy good and buy once.

by:

good product but twice now the nut connecting to the diagram vibrated lose and i lost all the propane from my tank. Would be good if the nut could be a self locking nut.

by:

GOOD PRODUCT, GREAT FIT FOR THE RV, EASY INSTALLATION,
SHUTOFF VALVES ARE EASILY ACCESSIBLE

by:

Seemed like the easiest way to get dual extra output (Buddy heater and grill).
Works fine.

Havent used it. Motorhome sat for the winter because of the Covid.

What I like about this tee compared to other tees on the market is that it has quick disconnects instead of dedicated fittings.
Depending on the hose I use, I can connect one or two external LP tanks - for that extended park, without having to move the coach to get the tank refilled.
Or, I can connect an external appliance, like my portable LP grille, when I'm on a camping trip.
And I don't have to leave the hose attached to the tee where it might accidentally fall down and drag on the ground. When I roll I can just detach the hose and stow it in the basement.
Word to the wise - there's not much room in the LP tank space, SO I recommend getting the hose you want with a 1/4" MPT on the end that you'd want to connect to the tee, plus a Sturgis male quick connect fitting that also has 1/4" MPT. Connect the two together with a regular 1/4" FPT 90 degree elbow. That allows connecting the hose in a tight space.

My RV sits for long periods. This part keeps my LP going by allowing attaching an external portable LP tank. It enabled us to use our RV kitchen while we remodelled our home kitchen.

Very pleased with the propane hose and fittings I have received from etrailer. The quality of the items seems excellent. The price was very competitive and the items were delivered exactly when they said that they would be. I will be installing these items on my motor home so that I can hook up a B.B.Q. and a campstove.Very happy with the products and service received from etrailer and would feel very confident recommending this site to anyone.

After using for the past year I am still very happy with this product.

by:

Good product and it worked perfectly

by:

I used this product to attach a 12' propane hose from the tank on the drivers side of my 2017 Winnebago Forza, underneath to the awning side of the vehicle to power a fire pit. I took The plastic cover off of the tank regulator, unhooked the regulator, and installed this device between the tank and regulator, then re-installed the plastic cover drilling a new hole to install. (The fire pit has it's own regulator). Very easy to do, no pipe dope or teflon tape required. Counting getting under the MH to strap the hose, It probably took about 45 minutes to complete.

1st one lasted a few months. Replacement leaked right out of the box. Don't wast yer money

by:

A couple years back, I purchased a different product off the “A” place. It had constant leaks, and the 1/4 inch pol soft nosed connection to the extend a stay tee, was very difficult to seal. Even the cheap, plastic hose broke at the tee end. A lot of propane leaked out over time. Not enough to smell, but soapy water, lots of bubbles. Contacted etrailer, they recommeded this product. First, the tee is made in the USA unlike the cheap Chinese crap I previously purchased off [online store] Second, the connections in this are different, and created a solid seal. NO LEAKS! Third. The two ports are quick connect, saving having to wrench them on and off as I had to on the other model. Fourth, customer service is and always has been first rate at etrailer.

So, overall, etrailer rocks! This is a great product. Saving a couple bucks at the”A” place cost me a lot more than if I just used etrailer in the first place. THANKS GUYS!

by:

Well I needed this in a timely manner! So I haven’t been able to install at this time. Shipping sucks with etrailer! You should just buy from [online vendor].

by:

So disappointed. Paid extra for Made in the USA and now one of the cut offs is leaking. I contacted CS only to find out that this product has a 90 day warranty. I guess American quality and workmanship isn’t what it used to be.

by:

The propane fitting is exactly what I wanted for my RV.

by:

Received Sturgi-Stay T-fitting and put it on in less than 10 minutes. Super excited to use it as it was easy to install and super functional with no leaking!

by:

Wish non quick diaconnwct came with shutoff valve or cap

by:

Beneficial to have. Better to change out a tank externally than to drive RV to get on board tank filled.

by:

Easy to install and works great setting an extra bottle by the motorhome

by:

Works very well!!

by:

I ordered 3 different items. All were received in perfect shape, on time and were exactly as described.

by:

Recieved on time and is the right product that I ordered.

  • What Part do You Recommend to Connect a Pop-Up Camper Stove Directly to a Propane Tank?
Since the photo you sent is of a male quick disconnect, the part you need before connecting to your regulator is the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting for POL Valve - 2 Model 250 Quick Disconnect Ports # 103537-MBS. I went ahead and attached a video that walks you through the components of this setup.

  • Propane T-Fitting with Quick Connect that can be Used After Propane Regulator
Technically you can use any T-fitting, including one like the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting for POL Valve # 103537-MBS before or after your propane regulator. The correct placement and T-fitting is going to depend on what you are trying to hook up. More often than not you are going to want your T-fitting before the regulator. You do not want your propane to be double regulated because it is going to cause you to not have enough gas pressure for your appliances to work properly. Basically...

  • Can you Connect Two Accessories to the Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting for POL Valve Fittings
On the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting for POL Valve part # 103537-MBS it does provide two connection points for accessories to be used. I see the confusion in the wording though. It will connect directly between the on board propane tank and the gas lines on your RV. You can then attach your fire pit and grill and have what sounds like a heck of a time in a very nice coach!

  • Parts Needed to Connect a Grill That Uses a 1# Propane Tank to a RV's Propane Tank
We do not have a hose that allows you to bypass your grills regulator. What you would need to do is install a propane tee such as the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting for POL Valve # 103537-MBS between your propane tank and regulator. This propane tee will provide you with the quick connect before the propane goes through your regulator, so that the propane can still go through the grills propane regulator without issue.

  • Can the Top Quick-Disconnect Fitting on the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting Be Rotated
The quick-disconnect fitting on the top of the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting part # 103537-MBS is not intended to be rotated as that could in turn loosen or tighten the fittings depending on which way it was rotated since it's threaded. That said, if you remove the fitting completely, apply thread sealant and re-install you should be able to get the orientation you want just be sure to check for leaks when you're done.

  • Does MB Sturgis T-Fitting 103537-MBS Install Before Regulator
The MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting # 103537-MBS that you referenced is designed to go before a regulator where the POL fitting then goes to the regulator and the quick disconnect runs to an accessory like a grill that does not require regulated propane. Basically all of the propane accessories that use quick disconnects have their own regulators built into them.
