Video Transcript for Ultimate Overview of the Propane T-Fitting for Type 1 Valve

Micheal: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the JR Products, propane Tee Fitting. This is going to fit in line with your RV or travel trailer's propane system, so you can still continue to use all of your propane-powered appliances indoors, but it's also going to give you the connection to connect maybe a small portable item, like a gas grill or something, if you wanted to cook some hamburgers while you're out camping, you won't need an auxiliary tank or a small disposable cylinder to get that grill going. You can hook it right up into your gas system, on your RV or travel trailer. It's going to have three different ports here. This big green one is the male Type 1, or it's sometimes called an ACME or a QCC1 fitting.

This is what's actually going to thread onto the valve of your LP gas cylinder. You're probably already familiar with this. It's very easy to use. You can use the righty-tighty, lefty-loosey method to get it tightened down. That's going to be very easy to do, and you're not going to need any special tools or anything. And that is going to work with almost all of your LP gas cylinders.

They have the threading on the outside, will work there. Our other side is going to be our female Type 1 or ACME, also called the QCC1 fitting. So you'll take the male fitting that is currently on your LP gas cylinder, and you'll connect it onto this end, tighten it down, and that is going to then reconnect your system on your RV or travel trailer so that you'll have the gas flowing through this end, and coming out this end, go into the regulator on your RV.We're also going to have the male number 600, or it's sometimes called a one-inch 20 or a disposable cylinder port. This is what you can then connect to a gas grill or other small appliance to get that working. It does have the back-check valve on there to make sure that there is no gas leaks.

And then when you're not using it, they do recommend that you keep this cap on there to make sure just a secondary safety device and visually to make sure that nothing is open there, so no gas is leaking out.Keep in mind, this is designed for LP gas use only, so don't use any other turns of gases or water or anything like that. And one thing that you should note is that this is not recommended to be used with lanterns, flame lanterns, some other Tee's, you might be able to hook up, a tree as they call it and a long tube, you could then operate a lantern off of and still run your propane through to other appliances. This one, they don't recommend using that lantern with that. So keep that in mind, make sure this is going to be the part that you need for your setup. If it's not; If you're looking for another kind of Tee, different fittings, whatever the case may be, I'd encourage you to come take a look at our other options here at etrailer.com.

We've got lots of different products and our goal is always to make sure that you're getting the product that you need to solve your problem. So you can get back to enjoying your time outdoors. That's going to complete our look at the JR Products. Tee Fitting..

  • Can the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Flow T-Fitting Be Installed On Service Hose Under RV
The propane tee's we offer need to be installed on the tank as that is how you'll bypass the regulator. If you spice into the supply further down the line you'll be run through the regulator which will cause a problem with most propane accessories and kind of defeats the purpose of the tee. The MB Sturgis Sturgi-Flow T-Fitting part # 103606 uses POL fittings, if you need Type 1 you can use the Propane T-Fitting for Type 1 Valve part # 37207-30215. I have attached an article below if you...

  • Length Of Propane T-Fitting for Small Appliance # 37207-30105
The Propane T-Fitting for Small Appliance # 37207-30105 has an overall length of 4-1/4" long. With it screwed into a propane tank you will have around 3-5/8" sticking out depending on your valve on the propane tank. The POL Fitting # 37207-30105 is required on some propane tanks as not all tanks will have the connection for a Type 1 connection. I do find that the POL connection is better than using a T-Fitting # 37207-30215 since the POL has its own O-ring that will ensure the tank does...

  • Using Propane Grill That Connects to 1 lb Tank With Larger Tank on RV
I assume both your Coleman stove and Weber grill have regulators on them, and if so, all you need to do is use a tee that goes in between your regulator and propane tank. This will allow you to hook up both your stove and grill to the disposable cylinder port; what you need is the following: - Propane T-Fitting for Type 1 Valve - Disposable Cylinder Ports # 37207-30215

  • Length of JR Products Propane T-Fitting 37207-30215 and Supply Hose For Grill
The Propane T-Fitting # 37207-30215 has an overall length of 4-3/4". You will not need any additional support when using this T-fitting in conjunction of your propane tank and pigtail for your regulator. The MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Hose # 100284-144-MBS is 12' long and will connect the T-fitting with a grill that has a connection for the 1lb throwaway propane tanks. The adapter and hose is not recommended for a lantern as the lantern uses the 1lb tank as its stand. While some lanterns...

  • Parts Needed To Run Ozark Trail 2 Burner Stove of RVs Propane Tanks
So your Ozark Trail 2 burner stove is designed for a disposable cylinder and will not work with a low pressure port on your RV due to the stove having a built in regulator and needing unregulated propane. There's no way to remove the regulator from the stove but there is a work around. To be able to use your stove with your RVs propane tank you'll need to install a Tee # 37207-30215 into your tank between the tank and the pigtail hose, and then you'll use the hose # 100284-60-MBS for...
