Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a quick look at the JR Products Propane T-Fitting.This is going to allow you to hook up multiple appliances to your LP gas cylinder. The way this going to work, we've got two different kinds of fittings here. This big green one here is a type 1, or it's sometimes called a QCC1 or an ACME fitting. This is what's actually going to mount onto your LP gas cylinder.
It's going to thread onto the outer threads of your cylinder valve. Because it is using those outer threads, we will be able to use our "righty-tighty lefty-loosey" method that a lot of us know, so should be pretty intuitive. You're not going to need any tools or anything to get that installed. Just tighten it down with your hand, and this is pretty standard. It's going to work for almost all of your LP gas cylinders, and that type 1 valve is pretty universal. Our other fittings are going to be the male #600 or sometimes called a 1"-20 or a disposable cylinder port.
This is going to allow us to hook up our appliance. Because we have two of them, we can hook up multiple appliances. These do have back check valves in them to make sure that no gas is leaking out when they're not hooked up to a hose, but they also have these caps just for extra precaution and for visual peace of mind, know that they are closed off.One thing that I will note with this, a lot of people might be interested in a T to run one port to your grill and then the other port to a lantern at your campsite or something like that. This T does not recommend the use of a lantern, so keep that in mind. If you're searching around, make sure that you're getting one that is going to meet your needs.
This one does not recommend being used with a lantern. This is designed for LP gas only, so don't use any other kind of gases or water, anything like that. LP, of course, stands for "liquid propane," so you want to make sure that you are using this tool correctly. It should do a good job for you, give you those multiple options so that you can enjoy your time outdoors. That's going to complete our look at the JR Products Propane T-Fitting.
