Features to know about

Stay Safe with No Backflow Hazards: Built-In Check Valve

Worried about propane backflow causing leaks or safety issues? The built-in check valve in the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail provides that extra level of security by preventing hazardous backflow leakage. It’s one less thing to worry about when you’re hitting the road with your RV.

Handle Any Propane Demand: High Flow Capacity

Got a powerful setup that demands a lot of propane? This propane hose is rated to handle up to 450,000 Btu per hour. Whether you’re using a high-pressure regulator or a two-stage regulator system, this hose ensures you deliver a consistent propane flow without triggering safety shut-offs during normal operation.

Reliability in Extreme Weather: Durable Thermoplastic Hose

Traveling through extreme temperatures? This hose is made of durable thermoplastic materials, capable of withstanding temperatures ranging from -40°F to 140°F. It’s as reliable in the intense heat of the summer as it is during a chilly winter escapade, making it your go-to for all kinds of journeys.

Regulatory Standards You Can Trust: UL569 and ANSI Z21-81

Peace of mind comes standard with the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail. It carries accolades from Underwriter Laboratories (UL569) and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI Z21-81) for high pressure and high flow capacity. You can trust it meets strict safety and performance standards.

Flexible Connections Made Easy: Type 1 and 1/4" Male NPT Fittings

Dealing with split-tank systems or different propane configurations? The flexible fittings - a Type 1 connector for the propane cylinder and a 1/4" Male NPT for the regulator - make this propane pigtail perfect for single or dual tank setups, allowing for easy adaptability and connection in diverse system configurations.

Built for Safety: Bypass Mode and Thermal Shut-Off

Safety is key when handling propane. This pigtail features a clever bypass mode that cuts off the flow of gas if it exceeds the safe capacity, and a thermal shut-off device that stops gas flow if the hose is exposed to extreme heat. These features work together to ensure your RV adventures are safe from unexpected propane issues.

Pigtail makes the connection from the propane tanks on your trailer to the propane regulator. Also used to connect tanks to a high-pressure regulator to carry gas to a 2-stage regulator. Check valve prevents hazardous backflow leakage.

  • Propane Hose Replacements for Regulator
We do have hoses which may work for you. The MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail # 100833-24 is a type 1 cylinder connection with a 1/4" male inverted flare. This is a 2 foot hose, though we also have a 15" hose # 100833-15 and 1 foot hose # 100575-12-MBS. These hoses are also available with back check, the 20" # 100473-20-MBS, 15" # 100473-15-MBS and 12" # 100473-12. I've added links to review videos of each of these products for you to take a look at.

  • Dual Propane LP Tank Setup 100 Lb for RV or Travel Trailer
Yes, the # 100019-24 pigtail can be used to connect your dual-cylinder 100 lb propane setup to the regulator on your RV. Since this hose does not have a back-check to contain a gas leak, you will need the # 204120-MBS fitting that includes a back-check. Without the back-check, your setup would not be RVIA (Recreation Vehicle Industry Association) compliant. You mentioned that you'd like to connect to a T first, before connecting to the regulator. I called my contact at MB Sturgis to...

  • Replacement Hose for Marshall Gas M4 Flexible Hose Connector with a Female Flare Fitting
I have done a bit of research and it sounds like you need the hose that goes from the propane bottle to the regulator. We have 3 different lengths of the MB Sturgis Propane Hose Assembly. • Adapter Needed To Go From 1/4" Male Inverted Flare Fitting To 1/4" Male NPT Fitting
If you're looking to go from a 1/4" male inverted flare fitting to a 1/4" male NPT fitting then you could use the Propane Adapter Fitting # 37207-30035. If this is not what you're looking for then I'll need to know the size and fitting type you're trying to connect to. I've also attached a little guide below that explains each fitting type if you're not too familiar with RV propane.

  • Propane Hose To Replace A Marshall Gas Model 242-1752
I was able to find a little bit of information on this Marshall 242-1725. The info out there is pretty limited, but it appears it is a standard pigtail with a type 1 and a 1/4" NPT. If so you can replace it with a pigtail like the # 100473-20-MBS which is 20" long. Generally this will be plenty long to get from your tank to a regulator.

  • Correct Propane Pigtail to Connect Camco Single Stage Regulator to 20 lb Propane Tank
We do! To connect the Camco Single Stage Propane Regulator # CAM59013 to a 20 lb propane tank you will need the MB Sturgis Propane Hose w/ Back Check # 100473-20-MBS and you need to make sure that you use a sealant like part # 37207-30025 to avoid gas leaking out of that connection. I don't know what type of connection you have on your Sears dryer but the outlet side of this regulator is a 3/8" female NPT connector if that helps. • Is the Humming From My GR-630 Regulator Bad and What Parts to Replace It
The noise you're hearing is likely coming from your GR-630 regulator, and it's not a sign of anything actually being amiss; the humming noise is caused by the rubber diaphragm inside the regulator fluctuating normally to keep up with the steady demand of regulating the flow of propane to the appliances. For the vertical vs horizontal regulator situation, it doesn't really refer to the mounting orientation, but where the vent on the regulator is positioned. If the vent is perpendicular to...

  • Availability Of Propane Pigtail With 1/2" NPT
Hello Patti. We actually do not carry any pigtails with a 1/2' NPT fitting. We could supply you with a 1/4" pigtail but it would require you to find an adapter to go from a 1/2" NPT to a 1/4". We do not carry any such adapters here, but you should be able to find one at a local propane supply/hardware store.

  • Propane Pigtail with Acme Screw and 1/4-Inch NPT Fittings
At this time we offer only the 20-inch-long propane pigtail with a Type 1 (also known as an Acme or QCC1) connector on one end and a 1/4-inch male NPT on the other, part # 100473-20-MBS. If you prefer you can install Camco Propane Fitting # CAM59953, which has a 1/4-inch male NPT fitting on one end, and then use the 1-foot Supply Hose # CAM59053 you already have which will connect to the fitting.

Check the deep fryer literature or the fryer itself to find the propane pressure required by the fryer. If it is 11" w.c. you could use # CAM59013. Regarding a hose it is going to depend on the type of fitting that is on the fryer. Hose # 100473-20-MBS is commonly used with 20 or 30 pound LP tanks.

  • Can I Remove Brass Fittings From Propane Regulator and Plug Hoses Directly Into Regulator?
Yes. You can remove the Camco # CAM59953 from your Cavagna 924N and use a pigtail with a 1/4" MPT like the # 100473-20-MBS. You'll likely need some gas line tape for the threads; you can use # 37207-30025 to safely thread everything together and make sure that there is no leakage.

  • How to Connect 20 lb Propane Tank to Stok Gridiron Grill with Quick Disconnect
I've always thought that this type of conversion would be useful. Right now there are no commercially available products designed to do what you are looking for, but I have a way we can make this work. To start, the product designed to connect a portable grill to a 20 lb or 30 lb propane tank is a simple adapter hose like part # 100555-72-MBS, but as you mentioned, this would require you to reach under the grill to attach the fitting. If you want to convert the fitting to a quick disconnect,...

  • Are Back Check Valves Needed for the Camco Automatic Changeover Regulator Part # CAM59005
The type 1 ACME hose like part # 100473-20-MBS that connects the propane tank to the Camco Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator part # CAM59005 has a built-in back check valve therefore you will not need to use anymore with this regulator as long as the type 1 ACME hose you are using has this feature (it should). There will need to be one back check valve on each side of the regulator.

Yes. The pigtail could be the issue. I recommend replacing the pigtail with the MB Sturgis Propane Hose w/ Back Check - Type 1 x 1/4" MPT - 20" # 100473-20-MBS. There is an internal back-check on Type 1 fittings that could be the issue.

  • What Hose and 2-Stage Regulator Do I Need for My Travel Trailer?
The fitting you need is a type 1 like the MB Sturgis Propane Hose w/ Back Check - Type 1 x 1/4" MPT - 20" # 100473-20-MBS. As far as the regulator, I recommend the Camco Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator - 160,000 Btu/Hr # CAM59313. If you need the supply hose, that is the # 37207-31255. It is important to note that this supply hose is for the standard 3/8" male fitting on the manifold.

It sounds like the check valve on your regulator has come apart. Those are necessary for the operation of the propane system so you will need a new regulator. You may not have a leak on the hose and find out that the regulator was the culprit all along, but it is always safer to replace the hose as well.
