Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to be looking at the Duracell Power Source Power Station. This makes a really nice addition to your home as a backup generator or for any kind of outdoor excursion that you might be making, where you want to have a generator that's virtually soundless. This really doesn't make a whole lot of noise at all. Definitely less than any kind of gas powered generator. Also something that's nice about it is that you can have this be directly powered off of a solar panel as well.

So you can keep that rolling for a long time, and it really gives you a nice way to charge any of your accessories. So on this side, we'll have pretty much all of our inputs. We'll have a connection to put this or connected up to a battery. That's going to be those red and black knobs there. And then also the smaller port right down here is, again, going to be for a solar panel. And then you can also plug it into a wall.

If you're going to be charging it at home, plugging it into an AC source to keep it charged. You always want to make sure that you do keep the battery charged. They recommend charging it up every three months or so, or after each use. On the other side is going to be all of our outputs or everything that we can plug into to charge up our stuff. So this is a pretty nice accessory to really take the electronic world with you wherever you go.

It's very mobile in that response in that sense, but it's kind of heavy. So it's not the most friendly in that respect weighs about 60 pounds. So I can lift that, but not something that I'm going to be wanting to backpack with or anything. But it does make it really nice for any kind of tailgating, maybe an outdoor party. If you want to have some music and lights in a park, make a great addition to that. You could use it for all kinds of different stuff.

And again, it also makes it a really nice emergency supply as well. Power happens to go out, you can run your fridge off of this for about eight hours. There's a whole chart of the runtimes for this when it's fully charged off of a typical application, lights and things like that would run quite a bit longer. So it just kind of depends on what kind of power draw you're going to be having off of this. I think for something like a sump pump that does require quite a bit of power, it could run that for about an hour straight. So just some things to keep in mind. But I'll give you a little closer look at all of the plugins that we've got here on the back. So at the bottom there, you can see we've got four AC plugs so we can plug in any of those things I mentioned. You can put in a fridge, your sump pump, or you can put in some lights, a speaker, there's also a couple of USB ports as well. And then a 12 volt round, kind of similar to your cigarette lighter in your car. To turn it on, pretty obvious. You got a big button here, just press and hold. It does beep when you first turn it on and then the fan does kick on. That's about as loud as it's going to get though that fan once it's running. So if you're really drawing a lot of power from it, that'll keep kick on and make a little bit of noise, but it does have a nice screen here to let you know what's going on.It gives you the input, output, the charge and voltage level for that. So I've got a cord here and some portable headphones. These are my own headphones. So as you can tell, since I've got all the stickers on them, just to give you an idea of what it's going to look like whenever you have something plugged in, as far as what happens with that screen. So going to plug in my headphones, charge those up, and those are charging. So it might take it a second to register that it has anything plugged in there. And I think that you would probably have more of a response once it actually is something that's going to be pulling more power, but just wanting to plug something in there, just so you can see what it looks like, how it's going to work.As far as the other accessories that it comes with though, go back to showing you our wide shot here. So at the top, it does have this little compartment that stashes away the cord to charge this. So you'd plug this into the back here. So you want to connect it to power whenever it's not in use. And then again, we've got those daisy chain connections as well. It looks like this is about four feet of cord to work with. And then it does have a little extension for the plugs up there. So if something's kind of close, but can't quite get there, this gives you a little short extender to get that out. So maybe if it's a bulkier plug. Measures about 10 inches, so that's a 10 inch extension from that back port there.I would also maybe stash any other chords you're going to be using with this. Maybe like an extension cord. There's probably enough room for a 10 foot extension cord, maybe something shorter, not a ton of stuff, but you could at least throw an extra micro USB or whatever you typically use to charge your phone or any other accessories. Also got the instructions in here as well. Not a bad idea to just to leave them in there. They're not taking up that much space. But that's kind of nice that you have a built-in spot to stash any stuff like that, and you can keep it all together. The way it's designed, even though it is pretty heavy, it has a pretty good spot to grab it on either side. So it makes it fairly easy to lug it around when you have to. Measures about 20 inches by 13 by nine inches. So it doesn't take up too much space. Again, the fact that it's really quiet is something that I definitely like. And I think a lot of other people will too, especially if you're going to be out at a cabin or anything like that and you want to have a kind of some quiet time. You don't want to have a really rackety generator making a whole bunch of noise and spitting out fumes and all that stuff. And the fact that you can connect this directly to a solar panel with those ports is also really nice as well to keep that going even longer. As far as all the specs, you can find those on our website here at etrailer.com. If you want to connect all the power outputs for this, as far as the starting or surge power output, that's about 2,880 Watts. The running or rated power output is 1440 Watts. So just to give you those two numbers right off the bat. That's pretty much all there is to it for our quick look at the Duracell Power Center. I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right part for you. That's always our goal here at etrailer.com is to get to the right part the first time. We do have a ton of other options as far as power, including solar panels and all kinds of other accessories. So definitely check those out right here at etrailer.com. I'm Ellen with etrailer. Thanks for watching.

I really like pictures and videos. I have spent hundreds of hours scanning and organizing all of the photos from old family albums and relatives. Converting old VHS videos to digital. I am also a father to 3 so have all the photos and videos that produces. Recently there was a storm. I had the typical surge protector, but something bad happened, and my photo hard drive was toasted. There were backups. But reassembling from backups really sucks. Did I get all of them? Are they organized the same? Did I duplicate? Ugh. And while they are being recovered only one copy exists, which is dangerous. I am also working from home and want the same backup power I was used to having with our generator at work. So I bought this bad boy to use for surge protection and backup power with my pc and drobo drives. I have tested the setup by cutting the power and having my son do some gaming on the pc. It is a beast. He played about an hour and used about a third of the battery. So in an emergency I will have plenty of time to backup, shut down, get some work done. Some might say it is overkill for what I need, and maybe it is. But for me it is more than worth it to know our family memories will be safe. And I can get my work done even when some nasty storms roll through.
