Portable Toilet is Great for Camping

If your camper doesn't have a toilet, or if you simply want to avoid a bathroom emergency, this portable camping toilet provides a fast and easy way to take care of your business. The easy-to-use handle and flush button let you flush waste into the holding tank. And the the built-in valve seals off the toilet bowl to keep any nasty odors firmly sealed in the tank. Also, the tank indicator meter lets you know when it's time to dump the holding tank. And the durable polyethylene construction can handle harsh outdoor environments.

Easy to Set Up and Use

Water Cap

Before use, this toilet will need to be filled with water and pressurized so that waste can be drawn into the holding tank when you flush. Fortunately, the easy-to-access hole in the top of the toilet lets you fill it with water in seconds. Then just use the built-in air pump to pressurize the tank.

Before pressurizing, you can also pour deodorizer (DOM62FR - sold separately) directly into the holding tank to help break down waste and eliminate odors.

Valve Handle

When you're ready to flush, pull the release handle to open the valve. Push the flush button and the pressurized air from the pump will draw water into the bowl, flushing waste into the holding tank. When all of the waste is removed, push the handle back in to close the valve. This valve will seal off the tank to keep any odors from escaping.

Easy-to-Dump Holding Tank

Tank Indicator

Thanks to the convenient tank indicator, you'll know when it's time to dump the holding tank. When the indicator reads full, disconnect the bowl from the holding tank by pulling the latch on the back of the toilet.

Rotating Spout

Rotate the pivoting spout out and empty the tank into your campsite's waste disposal area. Rinse the tank out, then reattach it to the bowl.

This is perfect. Had a unique space in camper. I haven’t used it yet. Thanks Dometic!

by:

Compact and does the job. Very low and IMO needs a short (5" or so) stand.

by:

Good service. Just needed replacement. No problem.

by:

Haven't been able to use it much yet but I've had 3 other portable toilets and this one is the best so far.

by:

I bought this portable for my boat to replace the old one that was broken. This new one hasn’t been put to use yet, but this portable works great for a day out on the water. The purchase process was easy and the shipping was quick. Etrailer kept me informed through the process. I did not receive mounting hardware as described in the manual and should’ve been included, but it’s ok since I already had those parts from the previous one I was replacing.

by:

As usual, etrailer answered all of my questions prior to purchase and shipped product even during this crisis, to Cincinnati in one day! Thank you!

by:

Just the right size for our low roof Savana van. Works great and easy to clean out.

  • Dimensions and Weight of Dometic Portable Camping Toilet # DOM34FR
The Dometic Portable Camping Toilet # DOM34FR can basically be put anywhere there's a solid surface so yeah you could put in in the current bathroom you have now without any changes needed to be made. As for your question about the "big stinkers" it may not be perfect for that, but everyone's definition of big might be different so your mileage may vary. The weight of this is 10.6 lbs and the dimensions are 12-1/2" tall x 15-1/2" long x 13-1/4" wide. It was designed for backpacking but...

  • How To Remove A Dometic Portable Camping Toilet That's Stuck To The Floor
The Dometic Portable Camping Toilet # DOM34FR does have clips to help mount it to the floor (pictured below) so I would doublecheck that nothing is attached to them and if so find a way to remove them to lift the toilet base up off the floor. If they really did glue the toilet to the floor then you'll just have to remove it with a prybar.

While we do not offer a larger tank for the 2.6 gallon Dometic Portable Camping Toilet # DOM34FR that you have, you can get a Dometic Portable Camping Toilet # DOM44FR that has the larger 5 gallon tank. Both tanks on the 5 gallon are bigger as this toilet is capable of 50 flushes versus the 27 flushes of the smaller 2.6 gallon tank.

  • How Often Can Dometic Portable Camping Toilet be Used Before Emptying
So while there is a way to tell when you have to empty the Dometic Portable Camping Toilet, there isn't a specific amount of times you can use it before it needs to be emptied. Essentially, the amount of times it can be used is going to be different, depending on how fast that tank gets filled. Thankfully, it's easy to know when the toilet needs to be emptied because it has a very handy indicator on the front (as you can see by the accompanying photo I made for you) which will tell you...

The Camco Travel Toilet - 5.3 Gallon # CAM41545 doesn't come with any kind of tank indicator so you'd be stuck lifting the toilet up and seeing how full it feels based on weight.
