If you often switch between trailers with couplers and those with a drawbar/pintle ring, the 15 Ton Combination Pintle Hitch solves this problem seamlessly by combining both a ball hitch and pintle hook in one heavy-duty unit. This dynamic duo allows you to effortlessly handle multiple towing setups without swapping out hitches, making it perfect for contractors, tradesmen, and haulers with varying construction equipment.
Handling heavy-duty tasks is no sweat with this hitch's robust design. With a whopping 30,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and a solid 6,000 lbs tongue weight capacity, this hitch has been crafted for those who haul substantial loads like big equipment trailers or even a 20-ton trailer hauling excavators. Customers like Troy from NY praise its dependability under heavy use.
Crafted from tough forged steel, this hitch promises durability and rugged performance. Its solid construction and corrosion-resistant powder-coated finish ensure that it remains in peak condition even when facing the elements or the grind of daily heavy use, although some users have noted it may develop surface rust.
Mounting this hitch is simple thanks to its adherence to the industry standard pattern of 3-5/16" on center side to side and 1-3/4" on center top to bottom. This straightforward bolt-mounted design ensures a hassle-free, sturdy attachment to your vehicle, bolstered by user tips like Dalton from NC recommending Grade 8 bolts for secure installation.
This innovative one ball, pintle hook combo provides maximum versatility for any tow job. Equipped with a 2-5/16 inch ball, it’s designed for those who need to stay nimble and ready for all towing challenges, whether it's swapping from a coupler setup to a drawbar/pintle ring setup.
The simplicity and reliability of this hitch are enhanced by its easy-to-use latch and single-piece, drop-forged lower jaw. It ensures a secure locking mechanism, giving peace of mind for those who routinely traverse tough terrains with heavy loads in tow.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at this Buyers Products 15 Ton Combination Pintle Hitch with 2-5/16 inch hitch ball. Now if you are looking for a combination hitch that combines both a ball hitch and pintle hook in one product, this might be just what you need. This will allow you to pull loads that have either a coupler or a drawbar/pintle ring without having to change hitches. So it's very convenient. It's gonna provide flexibility. This is ideal for contractors, tradesmen, and haulers who tow a range of construction equipment.
As you can see, there is an attached safety pin and clip. It's tethered with this chain, so it's gonna be very difficult to lose. And then to open this up, you'll just lift up this T-handle, and it's spring-loaded, and bring that back, and you'll have access to the 2-5/16 inch ball, but also, you can just drop your ring right in here. So again, very easy to use, and I really like the fact that the safety pin and clip is attached. So again, very difficult to lose.
Now the 2-5/16 inch ball is included, as you can see here, but also this is bolt-mounted. A drilling template is included with the instructions. And just some measurements here. The overall height of this, we're gonna be sitting, let me make sure my ruler's the right direction, we're gonna be sitting right at about 8-1/4 inches tall overall. And then the area where the ring is going to sit, looking at the height there, looks like we're sitting right at about 2-1/4 inches tall.
And looking at how wide that area is, we're gonna be sitting right at about 2-5/8 inches wide. From the center of the ball to the end of the mounting plate, we're gonna be sitting right at about 6-1/4 inches, again from the center of the ball to the end of our mounting plate. And then looking at those mounting holes, measuring horizontally first, center to center, looks like we're sitting right at 3-3/8 inches across, center to center. And then vertically, again, center to center, line that up, looks like we're gonna be sitting right at about 1-5/8 inches. Now the mounting kit is sold separately, but you can find that on our website using item number 3378520.
This hitch is made of tough forged steel construction with a maximum gross trailer weight of 30,000 pounds, and a maximum tongue weight of 6,000 pounds that has a durable powder coated finish that's gonna make it corrosion-resistant. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
