Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the 45 ton six hole air compensated pintle hook. Now this air compensated pintle hook will cushion the movement between the pintle hook and a tow ring. So to install this part, if does require the air chamber, which is part number 3373018091 and the chamber mounting bracket, part number 337P45AC6BK. Both those items, we do sell separately.Now we do also sell a complete kit which is this pintle hook with that air chamber and mounting bracket. It's part number 337PH50AC. But when you do have all those parts, basically it will hook this six hole mount bolt on hook.

We'll use the vehicle's air system to hold the lunette eye closely to reduce any wear. It absorbs the shock and prevents any uncoupling during operation.The feature will save wear and tear on the parts, especially in sudden motion or braking situations because it will reduce the slack and movement between your lunette ring and the pintle hook. Basically that air chamber that you connect to this will have a plunger on it. Using the vehicle's air system it will push that, right here you can see up against your lunette ring to keep it from any movement happening.It makes for a lot more comfortable ride through the shock absorption through the vehicle and the trailer. Now this hook is ideal for heavy duty applications such as semi trailers both off road and over the road.

It does use an extremely strong austempered ductile iron construction. Has a nice durable corrosion-resistant black powder coat finish to it.Maximum gross trailer weight capacity is 90,000 pounds. Maximum vertical load or tongue weight capacity is 18,000 pounds. It does come with set of instructions and it does come with the thimble. The thimble is going to go on to the end of the rod on the air chamber when you adjust it.

And it will go right here and use that rod that goes in here.And that's what will push in on that plunger here to get your air compensation. Just to demo how this opens, you'll see it has a pin right up here and this lever. If you just pull it and then raise that lever up that will allow you to completely open this up and you could actually let that lever down and it would hold that open.And you can put your lunette ring in there as you hook it up. Once you're hooked up, you just pull that pin and release it, that pin will go down and slide over and it locks in place so it can't open that up. To open it up, you do have to pull it and then release it.
