Buyers Products 8 Ton Combination Hitch combines both a ball hitch and pintle hook in one product. It allows you to pull loads that have either a coupler or a drawbar/pintle ring without having to change hitches. The hitch is ideal for contractors, tradesmen and haulers who tow a range of construction equipment. The hitch comes with a 2-5/16" ball size and is bolt-mounted (drilling template included). Mounting Kit (3378520) sold separately.

Today we're taking a look at a Buyers Products eight ton combination pintle with hitch ball. Now this unit handles multiple towing needs with its interchangeable design, so you can use it with a lunette ring, 'cause it has the pintle set up, as well as you can use it to tow a trailer that has a 2 and 5/16 inch coupler on it. Just gotta remove that pin and clip, it's held on there with a chain, so you don't misplace it or lose it, grab that T handle right here, lift up and pull back. And if you want to secure it in this position, you can simply reinstall your pin and clip. That way this doesn't accidentally drop down. So that opens it up.
That way you can, again, connect your lunette ring or your 2 and 5/16 inch trailer coupler. And then to bring the top portion back down we just take the pin and clip out, push it, let it engage.So it's very easy to use, very easy to swap between just the ball or the pintle. We're looking at a tough, forged steel construction, has a durable, corrosion-resistant powder coat finish, maximum gross trailer weight capacity is 16,000 pounds. Maximum tongue weight capacity is 3000 pounds. This is a 2 and 5/16 inch hitch ball.
Few measurements I want to go over with you real quick. Back here at the plate, edge to edge going this direction, measures about 4 and 1/2 inches. Edge to edge going this direction, measures about 3 and 1/4 inches. Mount holes going this direction are separated on center by 1 and 3/4 inches. Going this direction, they're separated on center by about 3 and 3/8 inches.
Now the amount of space that we have from the rearmost point of the hitch ball to this point back here, that's about 1 and 7/8 inches. Also measures the same from the bottom of this portion to the top of this area here. So 1 and 7/8, by about 1 and 7/8.That's gonna do it for today's look at the Buyers Products eight ton combination pintle with hitch ball.

Got these both in quick and they are heavy duty and appear well made. Itch mounts right up to the president drilled holes. Both were packed in a box together in separate boxes and some box damage occurred during shipping and I was missing a lock washer

Solid construction, perfect for pulling my 10,000# utility trailer while also allowing me to occasionally move trailers that have a lunette / pintle eye when needed. This eliminates the inconvenience of me having to carry two different hitches in my truck.
I also purchased a 2" ball for this hitch from etrailer so that I have the option of switching when needed; the 1-1/8" shank trailer balls for the RM6 series hitches are difficult to locate anywhere besides online.
