Possible Applications
This flexible heater is designed for use on oil or transmission pans, but it can also be used to heat hydraulic and water tanks. The size of the pan or tank that this heater should be used on is determined by the wattage of the heater. This 250-watt heating pad gives you the best results with oil pans that are up to 20 quarts and tanks that are up to 20 gallons in size (see application details above).

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Kat's heaters, 120 volt/250 watt oil or transmission pan heating pad. Now basically, you can place this heating pad under your oil or transmission pan in your vehicle to keep the fluid from thickening in the winter. This measures about five inches long, four inches wide and as you can see, has a cord on it, that allows you to plug into a 120 volt AC outlet. Now basically, warm fluids will lubricate better for a long-lasting well functioned machine. The warm transmission fluid allows for smoother gear shifting and the warm oil provides better lubrication for longer lasting, better functioning engine.
Also, you can use this to heat hydraulic and water tanks if you prefer. This does resist oil and acid, has a nice silicone cover to it, on the underside, if you notice, you can attach it to the underside of the vehicle's oil, or transmission pan with the 3M tape. Just clean the surface very clean, pull that off and it'll stick right on there. Again, you just plug this into 120 volt outlet. The cord, if you extend it all the way out, is about five foot in length and as we mentioned, provides 250 watts of heat.
This part is made in the USA. Now, a couple possible applications for this. This will work, this size pad will work for eight to 20 quart engine oil pans, 10 to 20 gallon diesel tanks, 10 to 20 gallon hydraulic tanks and four to seven gallon water tanks. And again, just to show you that the dimension we're talking about, there's your four inch width and there's your five inch length. But that should do it for the review on this Kat's heaters 120 volt, 250 watt oil or transmission pan heating pad.
