Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at the Kat's Heaters Oil or Transmission Pan Heating Pad. This is designed to warm oil or transmission fluid for better lubrication in the winter or colder weather. It'll warm your transmission fluid, which allows for a smoother gear shifting and it can also be used to warm oil to provide better lubrication for a longer lasting, better functioning engine. It is designed to resist oil and acid with a nice silicone cover. It attaches to the underside of your vehicle's oil or transmission pan with the three M adhesive tape. You just peel that off, stick it to the installation surface. Then, the power cord plugs into a 120 volt outlet.
The product is made in the USA. This piece right here, the heater, the pad measures two inches by five inches. When it comes to the wattage, we're looking at 50 watts. That's going to do it for today's look at the Kat's Heaters Oil or Transmission Pan Heating Pad.

Place this heating pad under your oil or transmission pan to keep the fluid from thickening in the winter. Warm fluids lubricate better for a long-lasting, well-functioning machine. Measures 5" long x 2" wide. Plugs into a 120-volt outlet.I bought this pad heater for my air compressor that lives in the unheated side of my shop. I ruined two electric motors due to the oil in the compressor turning to molasses during the winter where it gets well below zero. So far so good. :)
The adhesive is solid, not peeling and the pad keeps my compressor nice and toasty. Before when I was away traveling I would forget to open the breaker for the compressor and come home to a ruined motor. That problem is history.
I highly recomend this heater, very small but very effective for oil pans of all types needing to be kept warm in freezing condition.
I attached it to my air compressor to warm the oil before I start it when it's cold. Works well. I plug it in about 1 hour before using the compressor.
This is the second Kats engine heater I have purchased and both are good quality and durable. This is also the second purchase I have made at eTrailer.com and I am totally satisfied with the cost, the no charge shipping, fast delivery and great follow up to make sure my order was correct and was delivered. I will definitely order from eTraler.com again should I need a component or a part.
I used it on an elevated stock tank works good at -4 did not let water freeze used 4 heaters
We use these pads for cold-weather kits on generators. Good product, order early there is a lead time.
Great Service as always. It would be great if you carried auto parts.lol. outstanding service as always. Thank you
Works great for the wisconsin winter
Purchased by my son for my car.
Didn't know there was a product to help in the extreme weather.
Very satisfied! Quick delivery, no errors and great product.
Thanks.
Still working great
The unit was exactly what I expected and the shipping and delivery was exceptional.
Excellent price and service!
Fast shipping, just what we are looking for. Awesome people to work with
I put this heater on my RV water heater to prevent it from freezing. So far it works well.
I used this through a winter in the north where it regularly is at subzero temperatures. Truck always started without any issues. I also had heat pads on the oil pan and transmission that I bought from etrailer. At -40+ degrees the truck always started relatively easy.
Was disappointed. Their product description along with the installation instructions both refer to "self adhesive" but there is none. Called manufacture and they suggested High temp silicone RTV. Do to the location of installation this was difficult to do the clamping. Added 4 days for 2 people to the process to install.
Quality. I hope it works as well as it looks! Will install soon.
We use it on the oil pan of our sprinter fleet. We run in subzero temps a couple times a year and this works great for us when our fleet has to sit outside overnight. Great product just make sure to research the size you need for your application.
Great Product! Volkswagen Jetta TDI makes no electrical heaters. There is NO frost plug on the engine either! Installed the KAT and life is good! Starts every time.
Roger in North Dakota.
This worked great with a hydrolc tank holding 7 gal of fluid. Gets the temp upto 70 deg F in the winter.
Wish it had aa adjustable thermostat.
Installation was a snap as my generator was still hot from running. Peeled off the liner to expose the adhesive and stuck it squarely and securely on the underside of the oil pan. My review is only 4 stars because I haven't yet put the product to the test, but when that happens I will revisit and revise my review. Otherwise the heater arrived quickly and was as described.
Works awesome! This is the second one, the first burned out after two years. We use them on 4 wheelers in the winter, on timers for 2 hrs twice a day. Put on lower crank case to warm oil...starts much easier. This one still working well after 1 year.
I installed this on a DEF tank in my diesel to keep it from freezing when I’m parked overnight in sub zero temps. I ran the cord along the frame rail as far as it would reach then attached an extension cord and routed that to come out in the same area as my block heater plug. Be sure to clean the surface of whatever you’re attaching the pad to in order to get good adhesion.
