Today we're going to be taking a look at the Max Tail Off Road LED light bar. This LED light bar produces a bright mixed beam, which is ideal for off road driving. It's going to have your flood beams, which are great for seeing out in front of you and off to the sides. It's going to have your spot beams for seeing pretty our in front you. Those are great for seeing at a distance. These are going to feature superior light output. We're going to have two rows of LEDs.
They use a premium LED, which is going to feature long life spans for all the units, for all the individual diodes. This light contains a total of ninety-six LEDs. It will feature a durable, weather resistant construction. It's made from light weight aluminum when it comes in the housing and the mounting brackets. That's all going to be coated with a black powder coated finish which is going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. It will have the though poly carbonate lens, very hard to break and it's going to be scratch resistant.
The unique finned design of the housing allows heat to disperse or escape quickly from the unit so we don't have to worry about overheating. Pretty simple installation. It's going to come with your universal mounting brackets. It's going to come with your hardware and the necessary wiring. The universal mounting brackets are a great design. They really allow you to mount the lights, almost any application.
There's going to be these small teeth here in the arms that line up with the teeth on the sides of the bar. You loosen up the hardware and that's going to allow you to adjust the angle of the bar. Once you have the angle set that you need, just re-tighten the hardware to secure that angle or that position in place. The brackets are included, on bracket goes on each side, it's held on there with one screw or one bolt and that is provided. One per bracket or one per arm. It's got a mount hole at the bottom and the hardware to get it mounted to the surface is included.
It's also going to come with some rubber padding. It's going to provide some cushion at the mounting location. When it comes to the wiring harness, it does come with a power switch that way you can control the lights from inside the vehicle. It does come with the adhesive backing that way you can easily get that installed. The unit is fuse protected, comes with your thirty amp fuse. It's a two wire design so there's two wires that come out of the back of the housing here on the bar. Red is power black is ground. That's protected with a nice jacket right there. Those two wires are going to connect with the two wires on the harness. You can see all the wiring is protected with that wiring jacket. That wire is going to run to this relay switch. This relay switch would mount near the vehicle battery. It's got two wires that come out that would connect to the vehicle battery itself on the post, negative and positive. Ring terminals are already on there for easy installation. From that connection point of the two wires out of the back of the bar to the two wires here, from that point to the relay it's going to give you about nine and a half feet. From the relay to the power switch is an additional nine feet. It's going to come with plenty of wiring for your application to get everything installed and ran correctly. It is designed for standard twelve volt DC power. The raw lumen output of this unit is twenty-one thousand one-hundred and twenty. A few measurements I want to go over with you real quick. The viewable area, so measuring just the lens, that measures forty-eight and one eighth on an inch long by two inches tall. The length of just the bar from corner to corner is forty-nine and three eighths. If we include those mount tabs right here that extends it out to fifty and one eighth. If we put the brackets on there to the edge of the bracket right here, overall length would be about fifty-one and three eighths of an inch. Measuring with these installed edge to edge to the mounting base the overall width with it mounted on the brackets is about fifty-two and five eighths of an inch. With the brackets installed your mount holder separated on center by about fifty-one and seven eighths of an inch. The overall height with the bar mounted on the brackets is going to be about four and a half inches. That's with it straight up and down or squared. The height of just the bar itself from bottom to top is about three and a quarter. The overall depth from front to back is about three and a half inches. Each mounting base has a rectangular design. It's going to measure one and eleven sixteenths of an inch by an inch and a quarter. This unit contains a total of ninety-six LEDs. The wattage is two-hundred and eighty-eight, that's three watts per LED. The last thing I want to do is hook it up to power, that way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. We'll also be able to turn off our overhead lights so you can see it in a low light setting. You can see here that the lights sends out a very bright, consistent signal. It's going to have that mixed beam design. You're going to have your flood beams, which are great for seeing out in front of you, provides a lot of light out to the sides as well, then you're going to have your spot beams in there, which allows you to see at that distance that you like to have. It allows you to see far out in front of you and that's the great advantage of both flood and spot beams on the inaudible 00:05:11. A total of ninety-six LEDs and that's a two row design. That's going to do it for today's look at the Max Tail Off Road LED Light Bar.

The 52” 288 watt led light bar is extremely bright can’t wait to see how it does off-road. The construction looks similarly to other brands but this was a lot more affordable. The only thing I didn’t like was non of the flat washers or locking washers fit the provided hardware.

I installed the headache rack and LED light bar. Both work perfectly. The LED bar is super bright and makes backing up at night, or working on the boat/trailer amazingly bright

I purchased and installed two light bars on my Ford Ranger recently. The shipping was very fast and the lights came with everything needed to install pretty easily. I mounted the roof lights by with super strong magnets screwed to a wood base I made. The light then screws to the wood. It holds amazingly strong even at 75 MPH. Best of all there are no holes drilled into the roof. The lights are both very bright and effective. i do a lot of driving on forest service roads in Colorado when its dark, so these lights make a huge difference. So far I am very pleased with them.

Bought 2 for my tractor when blowing snow. Totally a complete package which was very simple to install. Much brighter than old, halogen flood. One package was missing 2 screws. A quick call to etrailer resulted in replacement screws within 2 days. Many thanks.

Installation and Illumination are excellent. I did not mount our light in the open area of the bumper but on top as it was so much easier to do and get to and adjust. It looks ok there, and still will not affect airflow. The challenge is to get the power switch wiring into the cab, have patience. I cut a slit (upper right corner looking aft) in the firewall rubber seal behind the radiator overflow bottle to get access into the cab and fished it thru using a small straight wire. The power switch ended up mounted next to the steering column on the left had side, near the dash light dimmer switch.
The Youtube video that appears on the etrailer page is recommended and did help, thanks to the team for putting that together.

Received the LED Light Bar in a well packed shipping carton. The LED Light Bar quality is excellent, as is the mounting hardware, and the supplied wiring harness with a relay, fuse, and on/off lighted switch.
If you don't know how to install a wiring harness.....you will have to find someone to help you. Reason, the supplied instructions I received was the printed on a 1/4 page of a 8x10 piece of paper. A magnifying glass is needed to read the instructions which give minimal step by step instructions. Overall excellent product for the price. Install is on a Jeep Wrangler. Use for Surf Fishing when driving on the beach!

I bought a 12 " light bar. It arrived very fast and was well packed with foam. I installed it on the front bumper of my Ford Ranger. Install was straightforward and took about 2 hours. It works great and looks awesome. Very happy with it.

Love the light bar. It works great on my atv and Brightens everything up much better then just the stock head lights. The only reason I give it 3 ?'s is because the switch is very cheap and the screws the mount the brackets to the light bar are to short. I ended up going and buying a better switch and as for the short screws, well I ended up just not using the lock washers so I could get the threads to catch. Other then those 2 things I am happy with this light.

Love the light - install was a breeze thanks to the included wiring and instructions. The lighted push button was an added plus for me!! Super bright just what I needed for working out in the yard and keeping an eye out for those pesky deer. It came in a foam padded box as well which was nice. Works great, bright enough for what I use it for. I have it mouted on base magnets to set on my SUV roof for loading / off loading my bass boat at ramps that do not have street lights. Works very well. I can see my trailer just fine loading during night hours. Not hard wired but I plug it into a jumper pack just for this purpose.

I mounted this light bar in the grill of my truck with brackets I custom made. The mounts that come with it only allow mounting to a flat surface. Looks good, but they are not as bright as I thought they would be. Lights up an area about the same as low beams, but not as bright as low beams. They do add more light when used with headlights, but the light is not cast further out, so you can't see further than with your headlights. Since I bought this to see dark cows on dirt roads at night, the lack of distance doesn't really help

The light bar is very bright and may prove useful when I can put the vehicle it is installed on back on the road. One problem is that connecting it to the vehicle battery lets the led light on the switch remain on all the time, not just when the light is on. Since it is installed on an RV that is stored for long periods of time the wiring must be disconnected to prevent a continuous, though slight, drain on the battery.

Nice, bright light. I was worried about the mounting brackets but my light has remained tight. I have it on the front of my F250. Im noticing some plastic (weatherstriping?) working loose around the edges. Hopefully I wont be getting any water intrusiion soon.

So far so good. I've had this on the front of my Jeep for a year now and used it a few times when off road or on deserted back country roads and it works well to fill in my forward lighting needs when my headlights aren't quite enough to clearly illuminate the pot holes or rough road in front of me. Easy to install and use. I do wish they projected further though as they don't project much intense light past my regular high beams.

Very bright, perfect for midsize tractor. I use this while plowing snow. It's perfect with up-front and some side light. I just have to remember to turn it off when facing road traffic, it's blinding from 7 feet up on my ROPS bar.

- How to Install a Light Bar on a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500When installing a light bar like the MaxxTow Off-Road Light Bar part # MT80635 on your 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 you will need to hook it up directly to the battery due to the amount of power it draws. The trailer lighting circuits on your truck would not be nearly strong enough to power the light bar. My son lives next door and LOVES driving up and hitting our house with these lights. Its like we are being raised lol. SO bright. He hits his normal brights and these come on but I believe he figured that on his own. These lights work great and look great thereby delivering on the trust I put in E-Trailer
