Today we're going to review part number P10020. This is the Putco High Power 18 LED Luminix Off-Road Light Bar. 54 watts in a 15 degree spot pattern. This part number includes everything shown here on the table. It includes the light bar, the wiring harness, an illuminated switch, the mounting brackets both long and short, and a set of detailed instructions. This is a low profile LED light bar, delivers a bright focus light, has a 15 degree spot beam pattern that is created by these chrome back focus lenses. It's a very slim design which will let you install this light bar in tight spaces.

You can get a very high-quality light output from this single row of 18, 3 watt, Nichia LED's. These quality LED's have a 50,000 hour life span. The light bar does have some built in safe guards. They do use the thermal control chips to help prevent LED's from overheating. Has an over and under voltage protection which keeps the light bar operating at the correct voltage.

The bar itself is a durable, waterproof, corrosion resistant, construction. Has a nice black, anodized, billet aluminum housing which is very light weight and rust proof. The LED's are full potted to protect the fragile components. It has the industry standard protection against dust and moisture. Also the mounting brackets are a black powder coat stainless steel mounting bracket. Helps resist corrosion.

It's a very easy installation with these included parts. Basically you can mount this light on your roof, your rollbar, a grill guard, it gives you a nice rugged look. Again with these mounting brackets it gives you two sets, both a tall and a short, and they are included and basically your mounting hardware which is already installed on the side here. You just would unscrew that, take your bracket, put it on there, that's your hardware back down there, tighten it down and then install this to where you want. Do one on the other side and then you can set it to whatever angle you'd like. We also do sell some custom mounting brackets that allow you to mount them in different places.

We do sell those separately on our website. They're usually listed on this product page as a related product. The wiring harness right back here comes with this illuminated switch that you plug in to turn it on and off. On the other side it has this industry standard Deutsche connector. What's nice with the Deutsche connector has the triple seal on it so when you go to plug this into your light bar it's very snug fit, snaps and locks into place and gives you a nice weather proof seal. The other wire of the wiring harness . now there's a relay right here at the top of the harness. The red wire with the eyelet is your power wire. The black is your ground wire. You can see on the red power wire they do include an in-line fuse holder with a 15 amp fuse to protect your circuit. This part is made in the U.S.A. The specs on this light bar, comes with 18 LED's they are 3 watts per LED, so a total of 54 watts. The power draw on this is 4.5 amps. Input voltage is 12 volts to 36 volts DC. The operating temperature ranges -110 degrees Fahrenheit to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. It comes with a limited two year warranty. The light output brightness is 7,200 lumens. Again the beam it gives off is a narrow 15 degree spot. The color temperature of that light is 6,000 degrees Kelvin. The dimension on this, overall length of this bar is about 21-1/2" long. The height is 1-1/2" tall and the depth is 3/4". What I'm going to do now is hook this up to a 12 volt power supply to show you how bright the lights are and to try to show you the pattern of the light it gives off. What we're going to do is first we'll go ahead and plug in the Deutsche connector. Let's just try to run this under the light so it doesn't get in the way. Go ahead and plug that in. Then we'll go to the other wire that has the three pigtail wires with the female connectors on it. Then you'll attach your switch to this. Also you can turn this light bar on with a wireless remote. We do sell it separately, it's part number P8770F. It would install right into these wires instead of this illuminated switch, you install the wireless remote into this and then you'd be able to turn it off from about 30 yards away. But, we're going to use this switch today. On the instructions it'll tell you there's a red, blue and a black wire. The tabs on the back of the switch are labeled 1, 2, and 3. You take the red wire, plug it into 1. The blue wire would go in the middle to number 2. The third wire, or the black wire, would to go number 3 tab. Just like that. Then the last, we're going to hook up our red wire which is our power supply wire. We're going to hook that to our power supply wire. Then the black wire will hook to our ground. With both of those hooked up what we'll go ahead and do is turn off our overhead lights, go ahead and turn on our 12 volt power supply and I'm going to flip on the switch and you can see in my had this red dot. That's the illuminated switch, it's a rocker switch. If I push it the other way it'll be off. Push it on and the red light lights up. You can see our light bar the 18 LED's, giving off the 54 watts, very bright. If I can rotate this and try to shoot it on the back wall just to try to give you and idea of the 15 degree narrow spot beam pattern that it gives off. Turn it back around. Go ahead and turn off our switch. Turn on our overhead lights.
