Today we're going to be reviewing the Curt Forged Tow Hook, part number C45500. Now, we're ready to hitch it up and pull our buddy out of the mud. This tow hook is going to be limited to the hitch capacity of your vehicle. Whatever your hitch is rated for that's how much you can tow with this. It's going to be 9" long, from end to end. It's got a nice flat carbide finish. Now that we've rescued our buddy from the mud, that's going to do it for our look at the Curt Forged Tow Hook, part number C45500.

I ended up painting mine Red. Easy to see even when covered in mud. Is used multiple times a month during the Summer. Even used a few times to pull me out. A quick easy way to pull someone when their shifting linkage got jammed up on rocks going up hill. My JKU Rubicon got him up the rest of the way without any trouble.
I ended up buying two more for off road friends.....

Have even pulled down a tree using this hook! I am good advertising going to Jeep rallies and off road parks. Asked about this almost everywhere I go.

Love this hook gets a lot of use throughout the Summer. From pulling stuck vehicles to pulling logs. Painted fire engine red to be seen easily by those on the trails for a quick hook up. Even used once to pull me out!

Heavy duty, solid hook. Only improvement would be if it also had a heavy duty clasp to prevent sling from dropping off when loose. But other than bolt on hooks none of those that were for 2-inch receivers and heavy duty included a clasp. Go figure.

This forged hook has a rating exceeding the hitch and can pull at any angle. And there's no need to mess with sticking threads on a clevis. This is just the versatile type of hitch hook that I needed. I just wish it was made in the USA.

Nice unit. Had to put a thin layer like inner tube around it, because the hook fits a little loose and will rattle. Not really a problem, really like the look and easy use for hooking on a strap. Will recommend to everyone in my club.

This thing is a beast...very tough. I use it for pulling vehicles out of mud and sometimes pulling trees to my yard. I love it.

TOO BIG AND HEAVY FOR WHAT IT IS. IT HAS A 10K# CAPACITY. THERE ARE SMALLER/ LIGHTER OPTIONS THAT WILL PERFORM EQUALLY TO THIS HOOK
