These running boards are great. However, the instructions are lacking and caused quite a bit of headache--especially in terms of installing the middle bolts. On our 2012 Expedition EL Limited the front and back are threaded bolts--no problem. The middle, however, is unthreaded. The kit included "self threading bolts" but after HOURS of trying, and lots of busted knuckles, I could not get the things to seat. Drove all over town trying to find hardware that would work--nada. Thanks to a [online] video of a guy with the same problem, I eventually bought a thread tap to put in my drill to cut threads (at the 4th hardware store I visited--#8x1.25 if you need to know). But even my low profile drill was too deep to fit where I needed it to. Finally, decided to just put the threaded bolt in a socket and get the drill as close to level as I could, crank up the drill, let it spin, and hope for the best. It actually worked, but turned a 90 minute job into a two day, 10 hour ordeal. Getting a friend to weld it on was my final option, thankfully didn't need it. Four stars, though, because now that they are in, they are awesome. 1270356

Had them for a year so far, no complaints. They work well and mount fairly sturdy. I wouldn't rely on them as nerf bars for offroading but they work just fine as side steps. Install was easy, just use basic handtools. If you do lose the J hook in the small slot when installing, it is possible to fish it out with a bent telescoping magnet 1226301

GREAT Product! Price was perfect. Fits well, looks like OEM and actually looks better than the Ford sidestep (non electric). Needs: perhaps a little wider and a taller gap from step to door. My foot slipped a few times on entry and on exit, not much room to step on. That is my only grip....Overall and outstanding product! 1185697

These running boards have held up very well. Granted I don't drive my truck that much...only about 5K miles a year but when I do it is to pull my travel trailer. So I am off road quite a bit. These look very sharp and I am wholly satisfied!!! 767143

These running boards are very nice and still look sharp. I havent had any issues with them. I dont drive my truck that much...only about 5K miles a year but when I do it is to pull my travel trailer. So I am off road quite a bit. I do highly recommend these. I installed them on my 2006 F-250 Superduty.

Installed them this morning. Less than an hour. I like that they stand out far enough for anybody to get a good foothold. The packaging was a little worse for the wear and there are some rubs on the paint that make them look like they may have somebody's return. My wife loves them and it is her 4Runner, so we are good. I would recommend Westin and you guys. 1156499

The running boards are fine, but the installation instructions suck. The list of parts shows 2 each front & rear brackets, but it is obvious that there is a left and right of each. You can’t tell which is which looking at the pictures. These have 4 individual part numbers how much more effort would it take to identify then in the instructions? Also be ready to make several trips to the toolbox because the tool list is wrong and incomplete. After getting them installed I noticed that the mounting brackets now cover the notches in the pitch welds that are marked as the jacking locations. 690679

Well, the boards I received were not aluminum like I thought I ordered. They were some sort of plastic. I put em on anyway. They bow quite a bit when I stand on em. I'm 160lbs. Installation was easy, and I do like the rubber step pad... Also it would have been nice if they told me that they'd take 5 weeks to ship. The boards work ok, but I don't feel like I got my moneys worth... 179551

Look great. Installation was easy after I understood the instructions were a bit off for my vehicle (2020 4Runner TRD Offroad). Said to insert the square head bolts in the two tracks, but there are three tracks, so have to guess which ones and then correct. Not a big deal, but a photo would have saved time. The torque numbers for both set of bolts are also a bit high, since using them pulled the first or each bolt through the slot on the running board tracks/slots. Suggest using the min number they recommend - I went for the max in the range provided, and it was too much. Two hours to install the first running board using instructions, 1/2 hour for second after having discovered that instructions made it take longer than necessary. For example, go ahead and torque down the brackets before putting on the running boards - makes it tons easier. There is no leeway in how brackets fit despite the elongated slots, so no reason to wait. If you do wait, it is much harder to get to the bracket bolts around the running boards to torque them down. Doing it first saved about 1/2 hour of time. I did the install with the vehicle on the ground. Would have been much easier on a lift, but haven't gotten around to installing one in my garage :>) 877978
