Specs:
The step pad areas in Westin's E-Series round nerf bars are indented instead of cut out, maintaining the structural integrity of the steel tubing and preventing internal corrosion.
As shown in the image above, these step bars have a U-style tubing, which ensures that each bar conforms perfectly to your vehicle. Installation is quick and simple - just bolt the mounting brackets to existing holes in your truck's frame. No drilling is required.

Today on this 2000 Ford F-150, we'll be installing the Westin E-Series Round Nerf Bars, part number 23-1435. This is what the nerf bars look like when they're installed on our vehicle. Next we'll go ahead and show you how they install. First we'll point out the mounting locations for our brackets that will hold our nerf bars in place. It will be these large oval holes in the frame. Next we'll take one of our nine plates, which we've marked which edge is the top one, and place it in the access hole, making sure the bolts will face out. Next we'll take our bracket for our driver's side front, which is marked by the manufacturer, and line it up with the bolts and place them on.
The hardware we're using to attach them will be a flat washer, lock washer, and a nut. We'll just install them finger tight for now, just to hold them in place. Next we'll install the hardware at the botoom of the bracket, which in this case will be the hex head bolt and a flat washer. We'll put those through the attachment points, and the other side they'll get another flat washer, lock washer, and a nut. We'll now repeat this for our driver's side rear bracket. Now we're ready to loosely install our nerf bar, lifting one end up to line it up with the front bracket attachment point.
Then we'll loosely install our hardware, which will be the larger hex head bolt, lock washer, and a flat washer. Again, we'll repeat this for the rear bracket. Once we're happy how the nerf bar sits, we'll go ahead and tighten them down for good. Then we'll torque them down as specified in the instructions. With that done, we'll repeat these steps for the other side. There you have it for the Westin Round Nerf Bars, part number 23-1435 on our 2000 Ford F-150.
