I had the Amp steps on my last truck and they worked great for 10 years.
When I upgraded to the new f150 I looked at AMP for new steps. They are not available for the hybrid.
I found the Aries and I like the look and love the idea of not having to chop up my wiring harness in a brand new truck!
I started the install with the wiring harness. It was a breeze everything fit and was easy to identify what it did and where it belonged. Then things went south quickly. The nuts and washers from the kit are HORRIBLE! I don't know where they are manufactured but it was on par with the worst off shore junk I have ever seen. The 3/8 washers are so oversized the nuts barely make contact with them.
The nylon lock nuts are so tight I busted off one of the studs on the running board. I am not sure if it is a change for 2021 but Ford has M8-1.25 studs not 3/8 for mounting the boards.
I ended up throwing all of the mounting hardware that came with the steps it the trash and using my own.
The boards are top quality and solid as can be. The fit and finish is perfect.
They look great on the truck. But all I can think of is why cheap out on the nuts and bolts!
I like the boards. and am happy I bought them but It was a long instal due to horrible hardware.

I order these for my 2022 Chevy 2500 they had them is stock and came fast. Very good fit bolted right on. It took me about 3 hours in my driveway to install them. They are about 12” off the ground when deployed. I like the 2 steps design very helpful. They look very nice and are built strong.

I really like them, the snow and ice sometimes stops them that's understandable and the lights don't always work I haven't looked at them yet but yes we love them thank you

4.5* actually. Overall, I really like these. They are a good price and they look nice. Some of the brackets had to be bent a little bit to get them to line up correctly, but it wasn't bad. I've actually purchased these twice! I sold the first vehicle, but immediately bought these for the better optioned vehicle I traded up for. NOTE - DO NOT buy the door delete kit that can be added to this. It's a waste of money that overrides the basic automatic functionality on a daily basis. The basic kit includes an on/off switch already.

I finally got them installed and they are wonderful. My wife has arthritic knees and it was very difficult for her to get in the Jeep. With these Motorized Running Boards she can now get in effortlessly.

Very good steps, but the light "flickers" on/off on 1 side and stays on all the time on the opposite side! Doesn't really matter because they aren't bright enough to help in the dark!

Over all a great product. Installation instructions were straight forward, a couple of areas could use install hints such as "when installing frame brackets leave connections very loose". If you any type of DIY installer this will be a fun project. The quality of the running boards is very good any area you will stand on is solid and appears to be durable. Plastics end caps on the main part of the running board seem like they could come off at some point. The drop down step has open ends and seems like debris could become built up over time inside. The wiring harness is very well made, couple of extra wires came with it that the instructions do no indicate what to do with them, but they appeared not to be needed for my installation. Over operational quality is good they are quick to drop down and retract. When they drop down expect to hear a "metal on metal thud" because they drop so quickly, this takes a little getting used to. Again, overall great product.

The running boards work very well. I am very pleased with the boards. The LED lights are a joke..they quit working within a few days of installation. The running boards work very well.

I am very happy with the steps with one exception I'll mention later. The Aries fore and aft action was perfect for our 2020 Ram 3500 chassis cab. The steps look great and were easy to install with running wires and locating the processor taking the most time. My only complaint regards the led step lights. Both began flickering then failed completely, the driver side after about six months and the passenger side in the last several weeks.

So far so good. It took me all day to install the boards, but, I approached it methodically. I wasted an hour trying to thread the main power lead through the firewall: then realized I could just grab a hot lead in the fuse panel next to the drivers door....a rookie mistake I will not make again. They work well and my wife loves the ability to actually get into and out of the 2500 Silverado...me too! Here to hoping they work for several years.

For any 3/4 and 1-ton truck, these are perfect for a 5'-0" tall spouse. Easy to install, but take your time to do it right. Aries customer support is great, even sent me a new controller when needed. LED lights sometimes flicker, but not due to connection.

I love the running boards. My wife and I are 73 yrs old, and had some difficulty entering and exiting the 2500hd truck with the factory running boards. I have had two different dealerships comment on how they are better than the optional power boards
offered by gmc. I installed them myself with no difficulty at all, per the instructions that came with the boards.
I would purchase them again if I ever purchased another truck.

So far the steps are mechanically installed. Found some manufacturing problems with the truck assembly. The only problem with the Action product so far, is the connection of the 3 wires for the disable switch. The black wire terminal is too small to mate to the switch. I have not powered the system yet, maybe tomorrow. Any more problems I'll send a message.

These steps work very well. The installation of the bars are one of the most easiest I have seen. I have installed other brands and they took much longer. All the holes lined up as expected. The wiring is not for the faint at heart. We had to take the back seat out of the Colorado and peel back the carpet to run the wiring. The instructions were straight forward and easy to follow.
After owning these for a year they are still working like the day we put them on. We have had a few issues with the end caps of the walk boards being faded by the sun and turning white. The driver side light began blinking when the door was opened. I contacted the company and they sent me new end caps, stated that they had a bad batch sent to them that were not UV free and they sent a new light. I replaced the light and still have the problem. But the company appears to work well on warranty items. Only reason I did not give the the full 5 stars is due to the end caps fading and the light began blinking. Other wise I would purchase these again. They are not cheap by any means but are of a good quality.

After spending close to $xxxx, the first box was never received. Contacting etrailer was frustrating in that a true status of the second box could not be obtained until UPS sent a delivery notice. This resulted in having to change an installation appointment that took 4 weeks to get. Second, this shipment weighted close to 50 pounds and etrailer shipped the box, that is 6.5 feet long, that was held together by the equivalent of SCOTCH TAPE. The contents were spilling out of the box when the driver delivered the box. Needless to say etrailer really needs to get your staff together and just think about how your clients merchandise is handled once it’s in the hands of UPS

Aries Automotive ActionTrac Nerf Bars - Running Board after owning it for a year.
Great product. Still essentially functioning as expected. I would recommend them to anyone.
There are 2 issues to address however.
1- The lights that come with them did not last 6 months. I ended up ordering some high quality lights and swapping them out once they decomposed and failed.
2- The endcaps will not stay in place without modification. I used resin on mine to keep them in place.
I still love them. They look an operate great. The fixes are easy.

Just waiting on the mounting brackets and wiring harness, so we can put it all together and use them. The customer service in Etrailer is without a doubt the most helpful people we’ve ever felt with.
