Specs:
These truck or trailer mud flaps are 5/16" thick and constructed of polymer, or hard plastic, which is more rigid than rubber and won't sail in the wind. The durable construction can withstand subfreezing temperatures, so these flaps won't get brittle when the rain turns to snow and ice. And despite being more stiff than rubber, these flaps still have enough give to bend rather than break if they hit something on the road.
The backside of each flap features grooves that disperse water and repel mud spray away from your tires. These vertical grooves direct the spray down towards the road to keep your undercarriage from getting covered in grime, which can cause corrosion.
If you're simply replacing your mud flaps and you already have mounting brackets in place, just line up the pre-drilled holes on these flaps with your mounting plate and reuse your existing hardware. If the holes don't quite line up, you can easily drill new ones.
If you're installing mud flaps for the first time, you'll need to purchase mounting plates (sold separately) and weld them onto your truck or trailer to create attachment points for the flaps. To ensure the most secure attachment, add on bolt hole reinforcement plates (337MFW2375) to keep the flaps from tearing away from the mounts.

Today, we'll be taking a look at the Buyers Product Mud Flaps. These are going to be a very durable polymer construction. It's really heavy-duty thick plastic material or polymer material, and this has some groove made into it to help to reduce any spray since as that water or mud or dirt or whatever it might be would normally go on there it would kind of spread out, this is going to trap that, and then pull it down with those channels that are in the flap. We'll have two mud flaps. They both measure the same. They have the same dimensions, and those will be 36" long and then about 24" wide. It's a little bit more than 24", so not quite exact, and then the distance between our mounting holes up at the top will be about seven inches in-between each of those, and we'll have four mounting holes at the top there.Again, same for both.
On the other side of each flap, it's just a plain finish. Just a nice smooth surface there, so you want to mount the grooved side or the channels on the side where you actually would have that water spray coming up.As far as the thickness these are going to be extra thick about 3/8 thick or about 1/4. So, really durable. Able to withstand impacts from road debris like little gravel or little chunks of concrete, asphalt. Those things we typically encounter out on the road.
It's going to be able to take the brunt of those and keep them from denting your vehicle or denting your trailer and causing issues there, and of course, give us good coverage for keeping the mud off our vehicle as well. They're able to withstand sub-zero temperatures, so they'll be good in northern states or up where it's cold. They resist any build-up from ice and snow, so they'll be great for year-round use even in those winter months and again in the summer. That's going to do it for our look at the Buyers Products Mud Flaps.
