Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.
Each of these sturdy tie-downs has a swiveling snap hook on one end. These hooks rotate 360 degrees so that you can turn them in any direction needed to attach to anchor points. This means that you can secure the tie-downs over your cargo without twisting or pulling the straps out of place - no matter how the anchor points are oriented in your trailer or truck bed.

Today we'll be taking a look at the Erickson Big Hook Ratchet Tie-Down Straps. Part number EM05715. The Erickson Ratchet Tie-Down Straps are perfect for your marine or trailer application. They feature swiveling snap hooks that rotate 360 degrees, so we don't have to worry about it coming undone or twisting the straps. The sturdy ratchet helps you maintain maximum tension of the strap, and the ergonomic handle helps you do it with ease. The strap itself is constructed with a double polyester webbing. It's black with an orange stripe, so it can be easily visible. It measures an inch and a half wide by eight foot long. It has a safe working load of 667 pounds and a maximum break strings of 2000 pounds. Finally, all the hardware is coated so it's corrosion resistant.
Now that we're done with all the features, I'm going to show you how to get it installed. As you can see, we're going to be securing our golf cart here today. Let's go and get started. We're going to go and take our strap; the big hook on it, go and connect it to our cart, then we'll bring this strap around. We grab our ratchet in. We're going to open it up. Squeeze the handle a little bit here to open it up.
We don't need to open up all the way. We're going to take our strap. We're going to go through and then back up, just like that. Then, we can take our ratchet hook end, clip it on our loop, put some tension on it, and then we can begin ratcheting that down. Once we get it secure, we can close that all the way down, and then we can secure the rest of our strap. Now, this is one way to do it. Let's say you don't have a D-ring or some sort of loop or an anchor point to attach to.
We're going to bring it around like so, we'll attach it to our D-ring here. Then, just like before, put some tension on our strap and then ratchet it down till we get where we want it. Then we can bind up our extra strap. Now let's run our second strap. To get it to a wrap, close all the way up and then tie up our strap. That's going to complete our look at our the Erickson Big Hook Ratchet Tie-Down Straps. Part number EM05715. You could find this and everything else right here at etrailer.com.

Like always, I am very happy to work with etrailer for my hauling needs. The products are as expect, service was great and quick. I also like the product videos which helps a lot to make the products arrive as expected to reduce mail order surprises. As for the straps, they are very nice and should work as intended.
The product is just what I was looking for! I use them to strap down my 12-foot set on top fishing kayak, which is a market you all should go after! There are tens of thousands of kayak anglers across the country. Love the product!!
The material used for the strap is slick and they loosen up. The snap part sticks and does not hold whatever you put in the loop.
These are very heavy duty tie downs
