Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the line of Thule Chasm Duffel Bags. The Thule Chasm can be a very versatile bag, and can be used for many different things: camping, hiking, boating, sporting events, and even travel. Not only is it going to keep your stuff contained, but it also is a waterproof bag and will keep it dry.The Thule Chasm comes in a variety of different sizes and colors. We just happen to be working with the XL today. To give you an idea of what it holds, we have a variety of miscellaneous items inside the bag: baseball gloves, boxing gloves, three blankets, a raincoat, some clothes, a tent, and a sleeping mat. We also have a pocket on the side here that's going to hold up to three pairs of shoes. Now, you're going to also have some smaller mesh pockets inside here.
You can also use them to store your straps, your shoulder straps when you take them off, and also your mesh storage bag. This is what our duffel bag looks like when it's stored away. It's got a nice mesh bag carrying case. It'd be easily stored away in the trunk of your car, maybe on a shelf in your garage. This bag's going to be constructed of a tarpaulin material, which is going to be waterproof and keep all of your things, your belongings, inside the bag dry. The flap, or the lid, hangs over top of your zippers to deflect water. The side pocket here is going to have a rubber coating on it.
It's also going to protect any items inside the pocket there from getting water on it.It's going to be constructed with very heavy-duty durable zippers, which can be secured with a lock, which is sold separately. Shoulder straps are going to be padded for comfort, and they're going to be adjustable on both ends. If you have some stuff in here that maybe you don't have the bag completely full, and you want to keep it from moving around inside the bag, these straps are going to cinch the bag. It's going to keep all your stuff contained. What we're going to do is we're just going to take it, push it in, cinch it down, and you're going to do that with the other two straps on the other side of the bag. We're going to have a few different ways that we can travel with this bag.
We have it set up as a duffel bag right now. Single handle. We have two handles on the outside here, and we have daisy chain loops here around the side, so that if you want to strap it to your vehicle, you can just run a strap through here, and that'll hold it down. You can also use it as a single shoulder strap, or it also comes with a second strap if you want to use it as a backpack.I'm going to show you how to convert this to a single strap duffel bag. Take one of your included shoulder straps, and on one end, you're going to feed it through the daisy loop ring, and we're going to go to the other side, and do the same thing, under the strap here. Now from here, I'm going to show you how to convert this into a backpack.
We're going to take our strap off here. We're going to take our handle strap here. We're going to fold them down, and button into place. This is going to help keep them out of the way. We're going to do the same thing on the other side. I'm going to put my first strap on. Do you see there's a curve in this We're going to make sure that that's facing in toward the middle. We're going to take our end, and we're going to feed it through one of the daisy chain loops on one side of the handle. Do the same thing on this end. You can see there's a tensioner here. There's also one on this side. To get our strap up to the top, we're going to pull this one. That'll do it for our look at the line of Thule Chasm Duffel Bags.
