Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Rock River Silicone Sealant. This is a black, general purpose sealant that's gonna protect your joints and seams from weather when you install or replace parts on your enclosed trailer or RV. This will create a waterproof seal between the joint parts like your flanges at openings of vents, pipes, air conditioners, doors, and windows, as well as screw heads and roof edges. This will work on a variety of materials to help to seal them up including most common construction materials. It will withstand a variety of environmental conditions including temperature ranges from -60 degrees Fahrenheit up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
It is gonna be pliable when cured to help maintain the seal between parts that can shift or flex, so even if the parts are moving, this will hold up well for you. It will also adapt to temperature changes and consequent expansion and retraction of sealed parts, so it is gonna do a good job for you making sure that water and that sort of thing can't get down in there where it could cause problems. This will also resist cracking and wear due to UV rays, so even if it's out in the sun for long periods of time, it's gonna hold up really well. This does meet the ASTM and FDA requirements. You will need a cartridge applicator to apply this, and this is a black silicone sealant, it can't be painted, so you do wanna make sure that you're needing a black color, otherwise, it's gonna do a good job of making sure that all of your repairs and replacements are sealed up and weather tight.
That concludes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com, thanks for watching..
