Kyle sent just enough to do my vent. I appreciate his help with information on what I would need and how to use it.

Easy to use RTV type sealant. I used this to seal around replacement vents in the roof of my Airstream. My only complaint is that it is not self leveling. otherwise it's a good sealant that should last for years.

Comments
If you would like a self leveling sealant in the future, I recommend LaSalle Bristol Universal Self-Leveling Sealant in white part # 34427034145-1
LaSalle Bristol XTRM Universal Self-Leveling Sealant - White - 10.1 oz - Qty 1
$19.72
. This universal sealant will adhere to all RV roof materials such as aluminum, brass, steel, glass, mortar, wood, PVC, EPDM, TPO, and TPV.

I have a 16x7 v nose trailer I installed this in. I insulated the roof with foam sheets cut to size but the walls and floor are not insulated. I had to brace the roof of the trailer in order to support the weight of the unit. Overall it’s better than nothing and lowers the temp 10-15* below ambient which makes it bearable inside of the trailer. My 2000w generator was not able to power it so I bought one of the predator 3500w generators and it does great. It will last around 7 hours on a tank of fuel.

IT WAS SILICONE IN A TUBE. SEEMED TO WORK GOOD.

- 0160297
by:

Great stuff, dries quickly, seals great. It can "ooze" all over so use caution when squeezing the handle :-)

- 0160297
by:

Excellent product. I used it to seal a camco plumbing vent on my travel trailer which has a plywood roof covered with a vinyl material.

- 0160297
by:

The TremPro 644 seems to be working fine. The only problem I had was getting it out of the tube. It may be that I needed to punch a larger hole in the seal or cut the tip down a little further than I did. I have done a "lot" of caulking and I didn't seem to have this problem. Also, being up on the top of a ladder made it a little difficult, so it was probably the "applicators" fault.

Works okay, faucet makes a bit of noise when the water is running. There was no directions in the package, so when I called in for drill bit size they mentioned 13/16. That's way to small of a hole to get the 2 spray faucet water lines thru...

by:

The TremPro sealant was very thick and set very rapidly. I had expected it to self level, which it did not do at all. I had to smooth it like spreading thick frosting on a cake.

Works great

- 0160297

It seemed to do the job of sealing around a new power roof vent . will seem if it rains in the near future, which I hope it doesn't we have had our share of that.

i am replacing a lower quality vent fan in or class c. Love the fantastic fan system.. Service wa excellant with etrailer.

by:

Pretty much when they packed my stuff in the box they jammed everything in and then made it impossible to use because the jammed everything in. Super not cool. This is lazy customer service.

- 0160297
by:

This silicone sealant did a great job! With some restraint was able to use 1 tube for installation of 2 Ventadome Roof Vents, 2 Camco RV Plumbing Vents and 2 running light fixtures, all victims of the massive 5/8/17 hail storm in Denver. I had enough left over to touch-up the roof caulking. This sealant cures a bit slowly and gave me plenty of time to complete the installations. Some caulks set-up quickly and don't give you much working time.

- 0160297
by:

I power washed the roof of the trailer before I applied the TremPro 644. Some of the edges are peeling

- 0160297
by:

No leaks holding up good after 1 year.

- 0160297
by:

Everything was great. I only wish that the butyl tape roll was suggested as required to install and seal the vent. I would have purchased it together. I only purchased the tube of the seal. so I had to go buy a roll to finish the installation. I would have definitely paid extra for shipping if I knew it would take over a week. I had to wait over a week for the free shipping route, but that was my bad. All else great. Thank you

etrailer not only has top of the line products, but George is absolutely amazing with communication! It is nice for a change to be updated if your product is in stock, or coming from the factory. George also contacted me when my item shipped and he even followed up to make sure everything was to my liking. I have great respect for your company and will continue to buy supplies and parts for all my trailers from etrailer. This is how a company is meant to be run! Great Job George!

I was really impressed with the service. The replacement lights were reasonably priced and exactly as described. The new LED lights exactly matched the existing holes with no modification. The tracking system was excellent. I plan to order replacement LED 's for all my remaining running lights.

Good product. Went down smoothly and did some self leveling. Sealed up several new tank vents and at least from my perspective, it was a lot easy to work with than some of the competitors, such as DAP.

- 0160297

Seals well. The caulk is flexible after drying, which is exactly what I needed

Product took a little long to arrive but it was before the estimated time expected. Is was very well packaged. I have not used the product yet. I'm using to seal the edges on the front corner around the molding. The trailer is 1 year old but it wasn't sealed very well from the manufacturer.

  • Is TremPro 644 Silicone Sealant # 0160297 Suitable for Repairing Leaking Trailer Roof
The TremPro 644 Silicone Sealant # 0160297 that you referenced is an ideal product for repairing leaks in a trailer roof. This silicone product remains flexible after it cures and will stick to almost any material likely to be found on a trailer roof. Do note it cannot be painted. You definitely want to remove the old sealer and thoroughly clean the surface to be sealed. A putty knife works for large bits and steel wool can be used to remove the small residue. The cleaner the surface is...

  • Recommendation for Sealing a Replacement Roof Section on Car Hauler
Once your roof section is installed and secure I recommend using the Sealant # 0160297 to finish the job. This sealant is what we recommend using after installing a roof vent on a trailer so it will work great for sealing up your roof job. Please note that it does require a cartridge applicator to apply the sealant. I have linked a review video for you to check out as well.

  • What is the Best Sealant for Trailer and RV Roof
I strongly recommend the TremPro 644 Silicone Sealant # 0160297. I used this sealant on my trailer when I replaced a roof vent about 4 years ago and it is still going strong. This sealant does a great job at holding up to dramatic temperature changes without shrinking, drying up or cracking. It is gray in color, but it can be painted. I used a white gloss paint to match to sheen of the trailer's roof. This sealant works great on all types of trailer materials including metal, wood, and...

  • Can RV Roof Sealant be Sealed Over If Present
As long as you clean the roof and sealant you can seal over old roof sealant like with the # 0160297 you referenced and you would be totally fine. The other thing to check is to make sure the old sealant is in good shape. Try picking at it. If it wants to peal up then it should all be pulled off and replaced. But if it's solid go ahead an seal over it.

  • Removing Old Caulk around a Vent on a Rubber Roof

If it does have teeth make sure the teeth are not offset (one tooth pointed left and the next pointed right and so on) otherwise it can damage the rubber roof. • Can a 7-Way Junction Box Be Used for a 4-Way
There's no reason you couldn't use a 7-way junction box like the part # 38656 to install a 4-way. It would be just a matter of wiring up only 4 posts of the junction box on the input and output side of the box instead of 4. With only 4-wires going into and out of the box the rubber grommet would be too big to provide a seal for the wires. You would need to use a sealant like # 0160297 to seal the grommet.
