Video Transcript for In-Depth Review of the Snap Fasteners for Cloth

Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a quick look at these snap fasteners for cloth. These snap fasteners are going to attach to any cloth that you need a nice, solid attachment to. They will snap on and off in any direction, and they'll attach to clothes, or tarps for your boat, or curtains. Basically anything that you need a snap fastener for. To get these installed, you will need an additional tool, that's the snap fastener dye and setting tool, which is sold separately, but you can find it here at etrailer.com.Basically the way this works, you've got four different pieces here that will create the two sides of the snap fasteners.

Basically the same concept for all of them, you'll use your setting tool here to make a small hole in the fabric where you want it, then you'll push that fabric over top of one of these pieces that has that metal sticking up, and you'll take the other side, put it down over top of that so that the fabric is in between those two pieces. Then you'll take your setting tool, put it on that tall metal protrusion, tap it down with a hammer. That will allow that protrusion to then kind of collapse around and will hold those two pieces together so that you have that snap faster.This kit is going to include six snaps. So you've got your polished button side of your snap, you've got the holding side of the other side of the snap, and then you've got your two pieces here that will go together. So the piece that goes around, and then the piece that goes within, so that those will snap together.

So overall you'll be able to make six snaps. So if you are needing more than that, obviously you can purchase another kit, but you'll only need one of the dye and setting tool, unless you're going to get multiple people involved to help put it together. You'd like to all work at the same time.
