Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a Winch Strap for truck and trailer winches. The heavy duty winch strap feeds into a tie-down winch on your flatbed truck or trailer to help you secure heavy loads. This is for use with a fixed or sliding winch. Winches are sold separately. It has a wide, flat hook design that lets you anchor the strap to rails, edges, or other similar tie-down points. The flat hook is made from a durable steel construction and it features a powder coated finish on it to resist rust and corrosion and lasts a long time.
The webbing, or the strap, is made from a durable polyester material. The unit meats WSTDA recommendations. The strap itself measures 4" wide x 30' long. It is available in two different colors on our website at etrailer.com. You have the option for a red strap and you also have an option for a blue strap.
Both of the straps are the same. The only thing that's different is the actual color. Now, the straps feature a safe working load limit of 5,500 pounds. The hook width, I measured edge to edge right here, got a measurement of 3-3/4", and then the opening at the widest point, which is here at the top of the hook or the top of the opening, that measured about 1-1/4" or maybe 1-3/16" wide. Now, please keep in mind that tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit. The weight of your secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps being used.
That's going to do it for today's look at the winch strap for truck and trailer winches.

These straps have worked great
Heavy duty straps at a GREAT price!
Excellent service. One of the items we were originally looking at was on order and had a little longer delivery than we desired. Amy quickly gave us an alternative that would work just as well. Will definitely consider eTrailer.com for any future needs.
