Today we're going to take a look at the corner mount interior LED utility light strip. Now, this LED light strip will produce a nice bright white light for interior cargo area, and it will safely operate in a negative 40 degrees Fahrenheit up to 140 degrees Fahrenheit temperatures, so it's great for refrigerated trucks or trailers.It's a durable SMD construction of the LED circuit board, so it'll better withstand shock and vibration, and allows for improved heat distribution and thinner construction. Now, the LEDs in these lights make great replacements for incandescent lights because the LEDs will last about 50 times longer and they're more efficient, provide brighter light with less power output, and of course no bulbs to replace or brittle filaments that would break, and they do offer a lifetime warranty on the LEDs.You can see this strip light is attached to this white steel housing. The lens on the light is a nice polycarbonate lens, and it is a clear lens with white LEDs. I am going to hook this up to some power at the end of the video to show you how bright it is. This is compatible with 12-volt or 24-volt DC systems, and it is a surface mount in a corner design.

You can see the way the steel bracket is here, it's made to fit right into a corner.Now, the hardware to install this is not included. You can see they have two holes up here, two holes down here to install it, and it is a two wire design, includes a ground wire and the lead wire for power. A few dimensions on this, overall length from one end to the other is right at 17 and three quarter inches long. Now, the width of it, it's designed to be installed roughly just about like that, so actually let's do the height first. The height is going to be right about two and a quarter inches tall, and then the width going back from the front to the back portion is right about two and a half inches wide.Light output on this, the effective lumen output is 1100 lumens.

The raw lumen output is 1400 lumens. We had mentioned the operating temperature from a negative 40 degrees Fahrenheit to 140 degrees. It does have 30 LEDs in it, and the power draw at 12.8 volts is .84 amps, at 28 volts is .43 amps.So, what I'm going to do now is we're going to hook this up to some 12 volt power. I just want to show you how bright it is. You have a white wire and a black wire.

Black wire will be our power wire, and the white wire's going to be our ground wire. So with both of those hooked up, go ahead and turn on our power, and with our power on you can see how bright the light is, all 30 LEDs lit up. Go ahead and turn off the overhead light and you can see even at a distance it gives you a very bright area. We'll go ahead and turn off our power, turn back on our overhead lights.
