Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the NOCO Genius Ultrasafe G26000 Battery Charger with Jump Charge Engine Start. Now, this portable automatic battery charger and maintainer is going to help to keep a charge on lead acid and lithium ion batteries. It's designed for charging 12 and 24 volt lead acid batteries. That's going to include the wet cell, the gel cell, the enhance flooded, the calcium, the maintenance free, and AGM batteries. It's also going to work out well for the 16 volt AGM and lithium ion batteries. This is going to be a perfect setup for charging your car, RV, boat, SUV, diesel truck, as well as the racing vehicles. This can also be used as a maintainer, so if your battery is fully charged, it will maintain that when it's going to be sitting for extended periods.

Now, this is ideal for larger batteries up to 500 amp hours with the 12 volt, and up to 200 amp hours on the 24 volt. It offers a constant voltage power supply mode as well. That's going to power your vehicle during a battery change to ensure that you don't lose your presets, have to go through and get everything set again. Now, this has built in battery maintenance technology. It's going to monitor the battery activity, and it's going to begin charging when needed. This is going to allow for continuous operation without supervision.

That means there's really zero risk of overcharging your battery. It also has a built in battery desulfator. This is going to rejuvenate underperforming batteries, and it can recover deeply discharged batteries down to 2 volts. You've got a mode button right here. This is going to allow you to select through 11 different charging modes as needed. The LED will indicate in each of the areas to let you know what charge mode you're in.

The auto memory feature remembers the last charge mode you had it set in, so if it becomes accidentally unplugged or if you lose power, it'll return to that original setting.Let's take a second, we can go through the different modes here. The first two we have here are going to be for our standard 12 volt batteries. They've got a normal mode and then an AGM or a cold mode. That's basically going to be when the battery temperature is below 50 degrees. Same two in the 24 volt section here.

You've got your 12 volt lithium and your 12 volt AGM settings, one here, one here. We've got our 16 volt. We've got the lithium racing and the AGM racing style batteries. Finally, we're going to have our supply mode here, and then that repair or that recovery mode here.As the last one, you're going to have your jump charge. Now the jump charge, again, it delivers a high voltage, high current output to ensure that you can start even those larger batteries. The charge level is going to be indicated right here with the four LEDs. We have 25, 50, 75, and 100%. You're also going to have a warning right here. This is going to protect against battery issues, maybe a reverse polarity situation that'll indicate to you that there's something that needs to be addressed. That's going to protect your battery, your vehicle, and also your charger. Now, to connect your charger you're going to have some really heavy duty clamps here. They have a lot of pressure on them and the teeth are really in line with each other. It looks like it's a really nice set clamp. It's full metal throughout, so we should have really good strength and really good durability. We'll see the positive side is fuse protected. Again, that's going to protect your charger and whatever you're connecting it to. Going to have our 40 amp ATC style fuse in there. It's easily replaced. The cover itself for the fuse holder fits on there really snugly and nicely, that'll keep everything in place. I don't think you'll have to worry about that popping open. Now, to connect the charger we've got the X connect style connectors. Now, these are extremely rugged, waterproof, dustproof, fit together nicely, and then there's a lock there to help hold everything in place. Now, this does come with the two clamps but there are a lot of different accessories out and available, so you can take these off, put on whatever accessory you want, and it's really going to take care of just about any charging need that you might have. Now, we also have spark-proof technology. When we're connecting our cables, that's going to eliminate the risk of sparks so we don't have to worry about any issues there. It's a very compact, powerful charger. It's designed to efficiently convert AC wall power to DC power that we need to charge our batteries. It uses an onboard microcomputer to control the charging to minimize any kind of power loss, and it is compliant with the California Energy Commission regulations. Our DC cord side here is going to be 8 gauge wire, it's about 72 inches long so you have good reach. Then, for our AC or the side that we plug into the wall, 16 gauge wire there and the cord is going to be about 60 inches long. Again, should be able to get this just about anywhere you want it to go. Now, for input voltage you'll need about 110 to 120 volts. That's pretty common in normal households or shops. For 12 volt, it's going to deliver 26 amps of charging power. For 24 volt, it's going to be about 15 amps. It's going to consume about 443 watts when it's in its peak operation mode, and it has an IP rating of 44. That's going to complete our look at the NOCO Genius Ultrasafe G26000 Battery Charger with Jump Charge Engine Start.

Ask the Experts about this NOCO Battery Chargers

Do you have a question about this Battery Charger?

  • Does NOCO Genius UltraSafe Battery Charger Need to be Plugged In to Jump Start Battery
  • The NOCO Genius UltraSafe Battery Charger # 329-G26000 referenced in your question is indeed a great product, however you will need to plug the unit into a standard wall outlet for operation, whether you are using it for a maintenance charge or trying to jump start a dead vehicle battery. For a standalone starter that you can use whenever you need it, regardless of your proximity to an AC power source, I recommend taking a look at the Peak Performance Jump Starter # PKC0AZ. This is a...

  • Comparing NOCI Genius Battery Charger to the CTEK Multi Charger
  • The NOCO Genius UltraSafe Battery Charger with JumpCharge Engine Start - AC to DC - 12V/16V/24V - 26 Amp # 329-G26000 will charge your 225 ah bank a little faster than the CTEK MULTI US 25000 High-Capacity 12-Volt Battery Charger with Pulse Maintenance and Backup Power # CTEK56674. The max charging amperage of the NOCO charger will be slightly higher than the CTEK and the estimated charge time is about 2 hours faster for your application. There is also a 5 year warranty compared to...

  • Recommendation For Parallel Battery Charger
  • Based on your information, I believe we have some great options for you: The NOCO Genius UltraSafe Battery Charger, Item # 329-G26000. The NOCO Genius UltraSafe Battery Charger uses a 110V circuit to charge the batteries. It charges batteries with capacities up to 500 Ah (12V) and 200 Ah (24V). It works with most starter and deep-cycle, 12V lead-acid batteries. It constantly monitors and maintains 12V-24V batteries and will charge banks of batteries connected in parallel. It...

  • Can NOCO Genius UltraSafe Charger be Used to Charge Two 6-Volt Batteries
  • For a battery bank that has two 6 volt batteries wired in series for an output of 12 volts you can charge them in series and you'd be fine. You can also store them with a trickle charger and that will work decently too. So you could use the NOCO Genius UltraSafe Charger part # 329-G26000 to charge them both with it's 12 volt setting or you could put a charger on each battery and charge them in the 6 volt setting. For a long term storage situation I'd use a charger for each battery though....

  • How to Charge Multiple Batteries of Different Voltages
  • When charging batteries in a multi-battery setup it is always best to charge each one individually. In the case of two 6-volts wired together in series you would need to keep these connected together and charged as one unless your charger is rated for use with 6V batteries. Multiple series-wired batteries can be charged all together but this will take a very long time and the battery with the highest Ah capacity will tend to demand most of the available charging power. Also,...
