Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the JR Products half inch Pin and Clip Combo for inch and a quarter inch hitches. Pin and clips are a very simple, pretty basic thing, but it is pretty crucial if you're planning on putting any accessory into your hitch. And most ball mounts will not come with a pin and clip, so this is a good chance to pick one of these up, and that way you can get your ball mount attached. Now sometimes your accessories that you pick up, like a bike rack or a cargo carrier will come with one, but if you need one for your ball mount or just an extra, this is a great one to pick up. Now the usable two and three eight span is really handy because you don't really want to have to fight to get your pin out. So what you can do is just slide this over and you have plenty of room to be able to get a finger around the clip here to pull it out.
And also you have an oversized handle here, so on a hitch that's recessed, it makes it a little bit easier to get a handle on it, that way you're not having to reach too far under. It also has this nice beveled edge, so even if our ball mount's a little bit off, as we push this in, it's gonna help center that up and make it easier to fit in the hole. Steel construction with a chrome plated finish also means that I can leave the ball mount and the pin and clip on my vehicle year round and it's gonna hold up to those elements and not rust or corrode in a short span. Now if you do plan on leaving your accessories on your vehicle year round, something I would consider is maybe picking up a locking pin and clip. And we have plenty of options available here at etrailer, and that way you can lock that in place and know that your ball mount or your accessory's not gonna walk away in the hands of someone else.
