Dustin: Hey there hitch owners, Dustin here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at Curt's standard 5/8ths hitch pin and clip for Class III, IV and V receivers. This pin and clip is as basic as it gets, very easy to use. It's a solid steel construction with a zinc plating to resist rust and corrosion. It's going to be great for all of your pin and clip needs in your 2"x2" receivers. Simply slide it in. Secure it on the other side with the included clip. One thing I like about this over some other designs is the open slot versus the design with the hole that passes through the pin.
The hole, you kind of have to line it up and get it in there. This way, no matter what angle you come at it you're able to secure it. It's pretty cool. While this is your basic pin and clip, Curt does have some other options. There is a nearly identical version available with a longer usable span, so if you've got clearance issues or you're using a larger hitch, like a 2-1/2" hitch, then that's going to be the option for you. There's also an option available from Curt that has a rubberized coating on the pin and on the clip, and that's just going to make it a little easier to grip. When it comes to what it's good for, well just about anything that you can put in a 2" hitch that needs a pin and clip, this is your solution right here.
Some devices use an anti-rattle bolt. In that instance obviously you'll want to use the anti-rattle bolt, but for your ball mounts, your bike racks, your cargo carriers, a wench plate, all sorts of different options that you can use this with. That completes our look at Curt's standard 5/8ths pin and clip.

This 5/8" diameter pin fits both 2 and 2-1/2" square receiver hitches. Includes retaining clip. Rubberized plastic coated ends help with secure grip for easy installation and removal.I use this Curt hitch pin and clip when I'm using the receiver plug-even though I COULD use it with my hitch. Being an expensive hitch, I like RH5-XL when it's on my truck. The Curt is better than plain hitch pins because of the rubber on both the pin and the clip, which gives a better grip when it's cold or wet. Etrailer, as usual, got it to me fast, and the price was right. Also, I like that the clip goes through the pin instead of into a slot, making it somewhat harder for the clip to fall out or spread the legs of the clip over time-at least I think so.
It's a hitch pin. It does what hitch pins do. No complaints.
This hitch is massive. It will definitely be the last hitch I ever need to buy.
Works well, rubber grip is nice. Would recommend slightly longer pin for the 2 1/2 inch hitch just for ease of use.
Excellent service from start to finish! My items even arrived before their scheduled delivery date. The video support is amazing when you’re trying to make sure if that’s the exact measurement you need. Well done!
Speedy delivery and order accuracy is all I ask of my e-commerce experience. etrailer delivered.

THESE HITCH PINS FIT GREAT AND I LIKE THE RUBBER GRIP ON THEM.
I am very pleased with etrailer.com this is my second order and they are reliable and the product has always matched my expectations. I will continue to us them for my camper needs.
I ordered a new hitch, ball and electrical for my 2020 pathfinder. Arrived sooner than expected and very easy installation with easy instructions. I needed one person to help hold hitch while I bolted it on, otherwise one man job.
Works great. Upgraded my tow vehicle which had a class III hitch, Needed 2.5" pin for the hitch. works fine.
Nice pin, like the rubberized cotter pi n/clip.
Very nice hitch pin and clip. Works well with my hitch. Good price and free and quick shipping!
etrailer didn’t have this in stock when I ordered. I authorized them to swap it for a non-rubberized version. No issues with it at all.
Great choice of products trailering. Excellent service and turn around on all orders.
Thank you for such prompt service. I put this on my Polaris 570 mid size Ranger. The problem was a normal hitch was under the bed and a 2 inch rise was a bit too low for a level trailer. This fixed the problem moving the ball out further and higher. Much easier to hook up. I would recommend your company to others.
