Great addition to my Dodge truck! This is my second one... Bumped a light post support while parking with the 1st one...
My solution to the right side blinking was to run a line from my canopy brake light down to the connector.

I consider this a quality product. It fix perfectly and with the foam gaslit elements any vibration and noise. After a year, there is very little fading or oxidation. Light is bright and distinct.

JUST AS A LOT OF THE OTHER REVIEWS STATES, YOU SHOULD BE INFORMED THAT THE PLUG DOES NOT REACH THE HOOK UP ON NEWER PICK-UPS. THAT WAY YOU KNOW WHEN THE ITEM COMES YOU CAN ORDER EXTENSION TO HOOK IT UP. BESIDES THAT THE LIGHT IS GREAT, NICE AND BRIGHT AND STANDS OUT VERY NICELY

This hitch cover makes a nice dress up idem. It gives my truck an appearance that you don't see on most vehicle. I would have given it an excellent rating but I had to go out and buy a 12'' extension wire connector to plug it in. For a more cents or wire it would have made it a plug and play accessory.

Since this is supposed to be designed for a Dodge pickup, they should make the cord long enough to reach either the trailer plug (ideally) or the wiring harness. Since it reaches neither it is rather impractical to use.

Good, Item arrived and when we placed on the trailer hitch; it did not work. The light bulb that it came with did not work. I had to go out and by a new bulb. After I replaced it; it worked.

Love the look of this item however like other reviews I saw after my purchase, the wire is way too short to connect to the truck so now I'm searching for an extension cable. Other then that it's fine and as described online.

hard to findI looked all over for a lighted trailer hitch cover with the Dodge logo. I finallly went on-line and there you were. - Ram Hitch Cover that Lights Up when Running Lights are OnThe Ram hitch part # CR-007D that you referenced does not light up with the running lights. It only illuminates when the brake pedal is pressed or the right turn signal is activated.

Since the lighted hitch cover # CR-007D plugs into a 4-Way flat connector on the vehicle it uses that combined circuit. It doesn't have a converter to separate out the turn signal function from the brake light so when you use the right turn signal it will blink. Brake lights will not override the turn signal on trailer wiring.
