Hi there, haulers. Today we're going to be taking a look at Draw-Tite's Rubber Hitch Cover. They're available for either two inch hitches or for one and a quarter inch hitches. This Draw-Tite Hitch Cover is a press to fit. So there's no pin or anything needed to hold it in place. It just pushes in and it stays in there.
And when you're ready to take it out, just give it a nice tug and it'll pull right out of there. You can see the raised sections around the outside, where it presses it tight, holding it in.The main purpose of our Draw-Tite Cover here is to keep dirt and debris from getting inside of our hitch receiver when we're not using it. As dirt and debris builds up inside the hitch receiver, it can be difficult to slide in and out your accessories, and it could get bad enough to a point where you can't get the accessory in until you clean all that dirt and debris out.Keeping a cover in there is going to prevent you from having to do this because it's not going to be able to build up on the inside edges, just here around the outside, and we can just hit that with a hose, no big deal. And plus it's on the outside, so it's not going to affect the operation of sliding anything into the receiver. It's also going to give you a nice appearance on the back of your hitch, displaying the Draw-Tite logo and completely hiding the opening on your receiver. And once you get your hitch installed, you can enjoy its appearance and be sure that you'll be able to enjoy its functionality with ease of use for a long time to come. Now we do have various other hitch covers here at etrailer.com with different logos on them.
So you can pick one that's going to best suit your needs, but Draw-Tite also has a another product available, which is only for the two inch hitches, but it is a hitch silencer and hitch cover in one. I would recommend that one, if you do have a two inch hitch and you've got the clearance to use it because it acts as an anti-rattle device, in addition to being a hitch cover. The only reason why that you wouldn't want to use that one over this one is if you don't have proper clearances around your receiver, as this one slides right inside your receiver end to hold it in place. The silencer will go around your hitch receiver, so you need a little bit of extra space around the outside. And what's cool about that one is it has a door that flips open that covers up your receiver, but it also has a locking lever on the side. So once you put whatever you have now, you hit the locking lever down and it shifts the whole assembly over a little bit, pressing it tight against the receiver, eliminating any rattle noises.
And that completes our look at Draw-Tite's Rubber Hitch Cover.

The package arrived promptly and intact. It is cold outside to try install the SA4412B Saris Freedom Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount. Will try it as soon as weather improves. Thanks
The hitch cover was a perfect fit for my 2 inch hitch. Recommend if you aren't attaching anything to your hitch
Like the "rubberized" DrawTite version of this rather than the plastic model.
great delivery, well packaged, competitively priced. Very, very easy to do business with you.
This Draw-Tite hitch is clearly a quality product right out of the box. It took my son and I about 40 minutes to install it on my 1998 Toyota 4-Runner. The wiring took a bit longer the next day just because I'm picky and wanted it to be hidden and neat. I bought the "combo" that came with the Hitch, Wiring, and Ball Mount Kit at a reduced price. I'm glad I chose to purchase from etrailer.com and would choose them again.
Like the cover for my new hitch and its ability to keep the inside of the hitch clean and give an overall "finished" look to the hitch. Although it is staying in place at this time, it feels just a little to loose and I can see if falling out of the hitch at some point in the future. An improvement would be someway to actually use a pin to secure it to the hitch. Time will tell if it stays in place.
I bought 2 of theses for my front and rear hitch. Nice sturdy material still flexible. Easy to install and hold in place firmly. It keep it's appearance after 1 year of Canadian winter
BEAUTIFUL JUST GET IT
It does what it’s supposed to do, plug the hitch hole.
I purchased a 2" trailer hitch and a rubber hitch cover a year ago. I'm a little disappointed that the hitch is rusty already in a few places. Not what I expected after one year of use.

If the hitch is rusting, you can use a Rust-Oleum type of paint to cover any of the spots to prevent any more rust.

work good and looks good
Works great as designed.
The price was okay, but they kept falling out and eventually fell out and lost! The original units I purchased went into the receiver and the pin went into to hold it in place, thus I will not be purchasing any more of this style cover.

Thank you for the feedback. Since this type of hitch cover does not have the pin lock it can sometimes weasel out of the receiver and needs to be pushed back every once and awhile. If you are interested in more secure hitch covers I have linked them.

I would really give you a 4.75 if I could. The equipment you sold me was excellent, on time, competitively priced, and reasonably easy to install (myself). The only ding I can give you is that you didn't have video instructions to install a 2021 Honda CRV hitch (or at least I couldn't find it), so I used the 2020 video and it wasn't a perfect match. I had to improvise a bit. I would simply ask that you update your helpful instructional video collection before you put out the products if at all possible. Everything else was great, thank you!
I had ordered the wrong hitch so called and spoke with Cailee who made it easy to return the first hitch and made sure the second hitch was the right one. She also advised that if I spent another $4+ for the rubber hitch cover, the shipping would be free, so of course, I ordered it and instead of taking 3 to 5 days to ship, it showed up in 2 days. Great service.
works as advertised. They do eventually get brittle and crack when dropped, but after a year of use on a front hitch, no issues when it's occasionally popped off.
Good product, fits snug enough that it won't fall out (been in there for a year now) but easy to remove if necessary. Looks nice too.

Nice product, has stayed snug in the hitch, hasnt faded at all and is still flexible and easy to remove.
I have a 2015 Rav 4 and I ordered this with the wiring harness with the hitch, ball and receiver and it arrived the next day undamaged. I am happy with the quality of this product.
I have a Chevy 2016 Traverse you're never gonna see the hitch unless I have the cover off. This puppy will do just fine keeping junk out. Just what I wanted and reasonable.
The Draw -Tite Hitch Cover is well made and looks great. It fits perfectly in the 2" hitch of my 2018 Chevy Silverado, and will keep out dirt, road salt, etc. to prevent rusting. Thank you for a great product!
Purchased one each for 2013 Ford Flex and 2017 Ford Edge 2" trailer hitches. I just pushed them in and the snug fit was perfect in both cases. Provided a more finished look to the rear of both vehicles.
I was blown away by the helpfulness of the website, outstanding service when I called, promptness of the shipment and ease of installation. I was able to install this hitch in my driveway without any problems.

It worked great. However I backed into a small stone step behind my garage and it scrapped the rubber. Most likely need to order another one
